hey-the smell of gas is just your exhaust probabaly...it says u have a gutted cat...if u ever mess with you cat or open up your exhaust in any way then chances are it will smell like gas just because a lot more gas is getting pushed through the exhaust...if it doesnt affect performance than...

Hey-You need to ground the cat I think for the air/fuel gauge to read right. I think that thing you unplugged has something to do with the o2 sensor, and thats where your air/fuel readings come from so that could definately be your problem.

how much u got? do u have ne mods already? definately start off with a boost gauge and boost controller then an exhaust and some intercooler piping, along with a nice intake. get those main bolt ons in place before you go onto fuel/tuning and a turbo upgrade and front mount.

90-92 6-bolt motor would be your best option...after that check out the tuning guide on this site if you have any other concerns about upgrades, or what you should do first or anything like that.
