My 2G 4g64 turbo conversion is throwing a P1105 CEL. It looks like the 97 GSX ECU I swapped into my 98 Spyder GS needs a Fuel Pressure Solenoid. What have all you other 4g64 turbo builders done with ECU pin 3 requiring a fuel pressure solenoid? Thanks.
Its getting too cold to work in the garage and I'm heading indoors. I'm going to play with my 3D scanner and see if I can replicate some needed/rare plastic parts. Shoot me your ideas on what to scan and I'll see what kind of success I have. Here are my ideas:
- Screw cover for the door panel...
I am almost done my 4g64 turbo conversion. That last thing I need to do (other than the downpipe to the exhaust) is connect the bypass valve host to the intake. I used the 4g63t throttle body. Can I connect the hose to the 'P' port? It's currently unused and capped. If not there, do I need...
What did you 4g64 turbo folks do with the boost control/wastegate actuator solenoid? I haven't read this mentioned in anyone's build. Unless you did a harness swap, I'm assuming you had to add it onto the harness in addition to the knock sensor.I've read that some have deleted the solenoid...
For those of you who turbo'ed your 4g64, did you change your lower rad hose for clearance?I'm trying to test fit all the OEM components from a GSX and I can't see how I'm supposed to get by the lower rad hose.I should mention that I did the AWD conversion on it as well
I've got a 1998 Eclipse Spyder GS and I've done an AWD conversion on it. This has been on my bucket list to do since I first saw a 2G Eclipse Spyder over 20 years ago in Cali. They never sold the Eclipse or the Spyder up here in Canada in the 90s.I've kept the 4G64 non-turboed for now. I'll...
In case anyone has misplaced their clutch alignment tool and can't find one locally, I created this one for 3D printing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4287359It works perfectly.
I took my pedal assemblies off my 98 Eclipse to remove the rust and repaint them. However, I can't remember where the clutch and brake pedal return springs connect to? Can someone tell me where to connect them to or better yet take a picture? Thanks.
