I work at a napa in New Hampshire. Wix has not been able to keep up with demand for the past couple of years so napa found another supplier. Now if you live on the east coast the filters are no longer made by wix they are made by proguard.

I followed this write up for Denso COP from a Toyota Prius. Have worked great so far. And with the stock ecu. I bought a 2G to 3g maf adapter so i didnt have to hack up a 2g MAF.
yes I did mean rod caps. I should have pulled them all at once and gotten photos but it was late and had no way of marking them.
The 3 pictures of the bearing halves are the top on cylinder two. The picture of the two caps number 2 is on the right and number 3 on the left. There is a noticeable...
A couple of years ago i had a local machine shop build a motor for me. Eagle rods and CP pistons i believe. Could be wrong on the pistons. The engine has around 2000 miles on it.
Over the last couple of weeks it has developed a developed a knocking noise. Very light knocking but using a...
The two pins are for the idle switch and airflow sensor active filter reset. Nothing to do with the tach. You can verify if they have been swapped by the wire colors. If it ran good with the 94 ecu then i bet the pins were swapped. https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/90-with-91-94-ecu.355082/

I really appreciate both of your help. I assumed the cam lock tool is correct since that is how the stock cam gears are just wasn’t positive. Dsmpt u said assuming the cam gears are at 0. The machine shop did degree the cams and the exhaust is 4 degrees advanced I believe. Is that something I...
I just went and reset it all. Seems to be dead on now. Not sure what I was doing. What happened is the oil pump nut came off and covered my belt in oil so I had do disassemble and clean everything. Should have paid more attention to where the marks were before. I had a machine shop assemble the...
Im not adjusting anything, just turning the crank to line up the timing marks, or lining up where the stock timing mark should be. on the Tomei cams the mark is not exactly in the valley. Ill post up some picture in a bit that show it better. In the top two picture the cam lock tool will slide...
I am trying to set the timing on my 90 eclipse gsx. I have Tomei cam gears. As most of you know the timing marks on gears are different then stock. The one in the valley is slightly off to one side. If i set the cams using the marks on the gears the crank seems to line up. If i use a lock tool...
I do. Differently better then letting go of the steering wheel all the time. Thanks for the idea Marty. You have been a great source of info since i got back into DSM's. Cant thank you enough.
I bought mine from Motion Racworks. https://www.motionraceworks.com/collections/steering-wheel-buttons . Really nice not having to let go of the wheel.
That sleeve must be really worn away. I had to beat mine in with a hammer and piece of wood. Not sure what the fix is but i wouldn't want them to be that loose.
Really like your valve cover breather setup. Was going to do the exact same thing. Little pricey but def looks great. With just the seperator plate my can did not catch much. Most of the oil would end up getting pulled all the way to the intake, maybe that screen would help.
I also bought the same can about a year ago. Mine did not come with that screen, just the separator plate. I had both valve cover breathers going to two ports and the other two going to the intake pre turbo. At least for me the can seemed to catch nothing. Just pulled the oil right through. I...
The intermediate shaft itself is the same between auto and manual. The bracket that bolts to the block is different. The manual bracket will not work with an auto.
Thanks for all the info everyone. Last night i pulled the harness to check if i had messed everything up. Everything seemed to be how it should. Reinstalled everything, reset the tcu, calibrated the TPS and now it shift like it should. Not sure what the issue was but it seems to be corrected...
Hey DogWhistle (great name) This is on a 1g that i auto swapped so there is no stock auto wiring at all. For the 3g shifter is have the 2 shift wires,2 for ground, and 1 for auto/manual switch. I dont believe it has anything to do with wiring, as it shifts as it should just no OD. Seems like a...
I have the shift box wired into the 3g shifter and it will shift up and down as it should. 1-3 seems to shift fine but just beeps when i try to engage 4th. On the diagnostic tab it show the solenoids engaging for 1-3 but when u try 4th it just beeps at me and wont shift. Double checked last...
Thanks for the input enriquez2000. Im gonna take another look tonight to see if i am missing something. I saw the OD disable feature but dont think it was on. Ill try calibrating the tps again to see if that helps. Again thx for the help. Ill let u know what i find
I am running a 3g eclipse shifter so i should not need a od switch correct? I can force it into 4th by activating the solenoid with my labtop but not with the shifter. I guess is need to go and try playing with it a little more. Must be missing something.
Thanks for the great writeup. Made this so much easier. I am having an issue where it does not seem to shift into 4th. All it does is beep. This is with the 3g shifter. Will shift 1-3 but not into fourth. Its winter here in new england so this is just sitting idling. Any ideas? Should add this...
