Yes the nut came loose and dug into the cover, I am not sure if its a 63 or 64 ? Its a 98 and new to me. So it has a hairline Crack as well, I guess it could be welded carefully because of the gear it seems to retain. If welded, do you use locktite or a cotter pin deal?

So I was installing new door speakers and found a non used plug taped off on both doors below the mirrors. my car is a GS with manual mirrors. does anybody know if the car is pre wired for power mirrors? If so there must be a vacant plug somewhere behind the left dash panel? Thoughts? ideas...
