Just an update, pulled the turbo off and found the internal gate was not sealing all the way which I’m guessing is my problem, sending it to FP anyway to have them check it out and see if there’s any damage and to check out that wastegate. I’m guessing the turbo is working much harder than it...

i will have to try that, and what do you suggest I run for parameters for logging? Eventually I want to wire in my WB and Boost gauge, I just didn’t know how easy it was. And I actually have my speed density stuff coming in tomorrow so I would assume I would have to basically retune the car...

Yeah I’m still on the stock MAF, but the car is a built 2.3 with an FP red, I just haven’t wired any of my sensors into link because I haven’t done much looking into how to do it but those link estimates for boost and AFR are actually pretty much spot on

sorry this log is very long but this was one of the attempts, 335 seconds is where its at. all attempts pretty much looked the same as this one regardless what i did with the tune

IMO I would think the leak is pretty bad, when boost leak testing it will start to leak around 5psi and by the time you build to 20psi it will be back down to 5 after 10 seconds, give or take,coming from nowhere but the turbo itself I contacted FP about the issue and they made it sound like that...

It’s the FP Red UHF 57S, it’s a 54.8mm compressor wheel, I figured with a 2.3 and a restall it wouldn’t have much of an issue

The car was originally tuned by a local guy McKenzie Lange, but it was still on the stock converter and it would only stall up to 2700ish and only build 1-2lbs but I just tried to mess with it myself today

Yeah I was trying to mess with doing more timing/less fuel and other way around but even at AFR around 12.5 and 20+ timing it still wasn’t changing anything

Who’s everyone having build their auto trans? Tuner wants me to do a shift kit and clutches before I go e85 and I’m tired of the sluggish auto being a dog on the street so I need some pointers as well.

Yeah I haven’t determined what it is 100% yet but it’s a brand new motor build and turbo so that would just make the most sense at the moment

I tried to simulate idle switch from tps and it still does the same, my BOV is recirculated, I will post a log hopefully soon, my laptop just went out on me yesterday

The only real annoying thing right now is if I let off the throttle a little too quickly the car will go too rich and try to die on me, are the injectors just staying on too long or what is that?

Well after raising the launch limit, it didn’t seem to do anything, it still seems as if the car is struggling around the 2k rpm mark but clears up at 2.5k

I’ll have to check it out, not like I’m launching my stock auto trans anyway lol so I’ll turn up that limit
