Bump ... I'm going to be parting out car if interested. Shoot me with questions regarding what you'd like, there's everything up for grabs. Other than engine with turbo they'll come altogether one part.
I will be parting out car, if you wish to buy the car complete I will be asking for 700. I will part out car within 3 days from when I post if car does not get sold whole. Feel free to ask for parts needed I have most in good condition.
Here are the cons on car that are reason for selling...
I really want to keep the car, front and rear bumper are plastic. Side skirts are really dinged, front bumper reinforcement (metal rectangular thingy) is banged too. Seems car had an accident that wasn't registered with the car. Boy ole boy if I told yall the car I found around 120 miles north...
I have a 2g but can no longer keep it due to no space for it. I intend to keep the engine but would like to know what else I should keep. I plan on getting another dsm(better condition) in the future that is not convertible or swap a car with my 4g63t motor. I know I should keep the ecu, engine...
I dont have enough time to fix with school and work. Sadly the Dsm has to pass on to someone else  honestly dsms are a another breed I got an MR2 spyder and debating whether I should 4g63t swap it. If I would anybody willing to help?
Hi I'm selling my 2g spyder gst, I've searched everything on how to post something for sale. I'm not sure if you have to be a supporting vendor in order to sell or ask for a trade on here. How can I post my 2g up for sale or partouts.
Mitsubishikid I hadn't seen your post! I think ima end up doing so. Does anybody know how much it adds up to in cost by retapping the holes after welding them ?
To be honest with the amount of space I was working with, and the time on my hands the heli coils were done decent. My guess is the threads holding the heli coils broke. Or maybe I torqued the bolts too hard. I was torquing the bolts to 28 lb of pressure
Damn, I'm getting to the point where I might sell the car and keep the engine. I dont have the space to always work on it and it just takes so much patience.
I had to instal 2 heli coils for my exhaust manifold studs due to the fact that the threads broke on the 2 holes, my first heli coil did fine that is until I took my exhaust mani off and reinstalled but both heli coils ended up losing tension when I torqued the bolts. Now it looks like every...
Anyone on here know how I can get my convertible top to fold ? The left side seems to go up but the right side is somewhat stuck. I've been searching for where the parts fold but have no luck in getting them to fold. I'm sure the top is maybe corroded due to leaks.
Can I just remove the top...
No wonder the threads inside where the stud goes had oil in it felt like it was too much oil to be honest. Just to make sure the site said the end bolts that are bigger on each bottom sides of the exhaust manifold wont fit so you need to drill or make bigger correct ?
I'm not sure if the oil is coming from inside the head but my valve cover leaked and dripped oil onto my exhaust manifold, I looked for signs of oil but was seeing a faint trail back to the valves, I'm unsure whether the oil got sucked in, most likely since oil wouldn't circulate backwards from...
Not sure whether the gasket couldn't handle sealing or if something like oil inside of the motor might have caused rapid corrosion on the gaskets soft material.
What do you mean by flanges? For some reason this site bugs my phone when I'm about to choose pictures to post here am I the only one...
I'd seen on here to get metal gaskets but I used an exhaust mani gasket that came in a gasket packet deal I had gotten online. After 2 weeks of barely any driving on my eclipse I ran into a exhaust manifold leak so I took it apart to find this...
I tried letting it do its thing for a couple seconds before releasing the key in the ignition and trying it again. The psi measurement reads a peak high 70 or 80 then gradually goes to 60 psi or so. Hoping it's a tool malfunction  damn autozone, I hope the torque wrench I borrowed...
Pauleyman, that makes much more sense. I understand you better now and learned something new! Sadly yes I will have to drop trans any cheap modifications that can be done to strengthen the trans or around there?Tk106 I'm not entirely sure if its leaking or I just didn't tighten that bottom...
Yea I hope so too man, it shouldn't be correct if my motor runs ok except for sounds coming from it. Because 60 psi is inoperable conditions in the pistons if I'm correct. Anyways thank you all for your input, I wish the best with our killer dsms :hellyeah:
Ohh ok I felt like there would be something integrated in the cars system that would make it ok to step on the throttle and not have worries about the fuel. I did as you're sayi but the most it would peak at was 75 psi and would go down to 60.
Oooo that's where it is. I was checking everywhere under the hood :beatentodeath: will check when I get to my car soon. Thank you for the input, if not I'll be back on here.
TK106 Tomorrow morning the belts will start coming off to eliminate potential problems and torquing exhaust manifold (leaking) again.
When I removed crank pulley it looked in mint conditions but maybe a pulley came out bad and started wearing it out rapidly. My belt did feel less tense 2 days...
I thought the tester would've been ok since it looked new I'm guessing it isn't working accuraty. I removed the spark plug connection although the fuel pump relay or fuse was still intact. I couldn't find it didn't think itd be a big issue unless I tried starting it too much .
I'm having a noise by the water pump as well tk106. The 2 wheels for the alt and power steering belts weren't bolted tight on the water pump creating a little noise it faded after I tightened but it is still present affecting the TOB noise. I'm still not sure what it can be. I'm going to tighten...
Damn you have no idea how much hope you gave me with expenses, tk106.
Pauleyman, I'm not gonna lie I have to look up words to understand you but I get you to a certain degree. You're saying a different gear shouldn't affect the tob but on the other hand trans gears could have that type of...
Will try dry shifting to second just for practice since traffic can cause pressure on driving quickly or something in that aspect.
Pauleyman, in neutral the noise is still audible. Seemed that sometimes when the clutch goes down the noise fades but is still there, on some shifts the noise is...
Thank you clipsoe, the way you describe it makes me feel like its gonna come down to that lol XD
Hope my tranny doesnt get mad at me. Is there maybe anything that affects the throw out bearing to fail other than normal wear due to usage?
No disrespect intended yall just flamed me for how horrible my posts are? I'm sorry the way I Express myself doesnt meet your standards English isn't my first language. Ok ive been asking for too much knowledge from the kind knowledgeable members here for "free" because I started out with no...
Yes that is one of my questions on the potential risks and maybe what could've affected the throw out bearing to make the noise I posted above. I dont go specific on my posts since I try to make it a boad topic whether I'm talking a hg or a transmision problem. Why yall so aggressive in the...
There has been a noise under my hood that worried me, did what I could until I knew I had to have a mechanic check it out. Results are: worn throw out bearing is what he says. In between shifts the noise decreases and stops on some shifts, I'm not sure whether the noise disappears when you step...
Yea the tester hose connected by the psi gauge was like magnet or pull to remove type of thing so probably that. I only did one spark plug at time, thought it would read more accurate ♂️ Anyways thank you all for input I will try a different compression tester.
I've been trying to get my compression numbers per cylinder and it looks like all cylinders read 60 psi. Please help I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I unplugged one spark plug at a time, spark plug wires are off and power is disconnected. I opened the throttle as much as I could with a...
Hi I'd like to know if anybody knows anyone that can paint around my location for a paint job, it doesnt need to be perfect. I recently got my car running, I'm going to fix the body up but it's a lot of expenses. Paint job will be most expensive and needed, I'm located in Watsonville near Santa...
