it's definitely battery connection issue,that sandwiching isn't gonna help,ground needs touching metal and bolting that cable on the strut its only touching paint,so grind some paint and bolt that cable back
i remember running those back in the days and never had to upgrade anything valve train wise, now if you wanna do a budget upgrade,get yourself some stock evo 8/9 springs
it's a 97 model so i don't know if this was the year when they start to build the split thrust ones but, will find out some time this week when i start to taking apart everythingthanks man! i'm gonna enjoy this rebuild for real

i've been drove it around the block and also some highway pulls(50-60% throttle) and seems like everything works as it should, so no issues with VE table so far,hope it keeps that way
This is my 4th 4g63 engine that i've get out of this junkyard actually: two 6 bolt,a 1g 7 bolt and one out of 2gb,honestly i feel lucky to have this junkyard around the corneri'm going back there this saturday to get some 2g side skirts,therefore i'll let you know if the B-pillar are still in...
That's the setup i'm running at the moment: 6 bolt swap in my 2g with 2g cas and also running the 2 tooth kiggly racing trigger sensor, a year later and still no any single issue so far
long short story: like two month ago my shift fork for the first and second gears broke so i replaced it for another one but now, like a week ago it happened again
so my questions is: what can cause the fork failed?(i don't shift hard) i just ordered the billet aluminum one from white shed...

No sir! i didn't test it that way before! But i just did a couple minutes ago! and yes all three wires have continuity ,And the pink or purple on my harness i'm getting 4.99 volts and 5.04 volts while the engine is running!
