  1. Extreme PSI Big 16G

  2. Exhaust / Brakes!?

As far as brakes go, check this site out. http://www.turboimport.com/catalog/eclipse.htm They've got everything you need less fluid for $320.As for the exhaust, when I bought my car it had a GReddy SP exhaust on it. It was a great exhaust. I have since moved to an RNR but often times I...
  3. What do you think of my interior

That's waaaaay to busy for me, but I've got to appreciate the amount of work you put into that. It looks like you did a really thorough job. I see a lot of interiors where people have done a 1/4 a** job on it and been satisfied. Good job.
  4. Good cost efficient exaust for a gs???

Magnaflow is a good company. Just stay away from Pacesetter...far, far away.
  5. holy squeaking embarassment

I went through the same thing last winter that you are going through now. You're not kidding when you say it's an embarrassment either. It turned out to be a ball joint in my case. We took care of it by lubing it and just moving the wheel back and forth to work it in. Since then it's been...
  6. Can i Beat this Car?

Actually I think the GS-R's only have about 170 hp stock. Given the mods and a generous estimate I'd say he's maybe making 190-195 hp ant the crank. If he's really pissing you off that much and you want to put him in his place that bad, save up and get a Joe P MBC for $50 shipped and a boost...
  7. problem since installation of APEXI BOV

I've got the Apex'i BOV on my 98 GST. They do not sell a recirculation kit for the valve. If the problem you're having has to do with the BOV, you may need to adjust it. On the end of the housing there is a screw with an allen wrench head on it that is used to adjust the vavle. Personally, I...
  8. Filter question

Sounds like you're looking for something like the intake package made by Injen. Injen is a good bet otherwise something like a Dejontool intake pipe and an air filter can be coupled and may end up being more cost effective. Check out these places.www.dejontool.com...
  9. Tint Removal [Merged 12-7] removing film taking off scraping

They sell a solution for taking tint off. Pep Boys, Autozone, even Wal Mart I think has it. I haven't used it but that in conjunction with a razor blade sounds like a solid bet.
  10. Bad Weekend

    Yeah good call
  11. Bad Weekend

Hey guys, after this weekend I'm kind of turned off to the whole tuning cars thing. I guess it all kind of boiled over this weekend. If you don't have the time for a rather lengthy story just stop now :). My buddy got his 99 Civic Si stolen in September right from his on campus parking space...
  12. Slowboy Racing 2GB16G and 2G20G

I have the 2g20g on my car right now. I like it quite a bit. I think it's very ideal for us FWD's. The boost kicks in around 3250 rpm's and it holds very strong to the red line. It comes with an adjustable waste gate actuator so that's nice. The customer service at Slowboy is exceptional...
  13. Do I need a FPR with a Walbro 190

I wouldn't think it would be a necessity. For safety, maybe, but I think you should be fine. After you get some type of controller for your fuel flow you'll be golden.
  14. Opinions on my car...

Very very nice. Silver and CF are like PB&J
  15. Dual Piston Calipers on this Brake Package???

Hey, does anyone know if I could upgrade my front calipers (2g gst) to dual piston calipers and still use these rotors?(one on the bottom for $348) http://www.dsmparts.com/brembo_rotors_2g.htmI believe they are oem replacement rotors, so is there like a 1g or 3000gt dual piston caliper...
  16. side mount upgrade?

I agree. I woould wait and get a front mount. It's coming up on Christmas so maybe some sales will come up. All I know is that You'll be kicking yourself when your new sidemount gets heat soaked. Hang in there and save up for a front mount.
  17. Ok Guys..Time to vote please. Short or Long Route Piping??

Not trying to jack the thread, but does anyone even manuacture short route piping for a 2g?
  18. Pyrometer Installation instructions

Go to http://autometer.com/hp/ and click on instructions. Then go under gauges and find the EGT intstallation instructions. As far as tapping is concerned you want to do it in the #1 runner of the exhaust manifold. With the hood open and looking at your engine this will be the runner on the...
  19. What other parts do I need????

You'll need a flange to bolt the BOV up to.
  20. where can i get these stock mitsu rims ?

I think I can help you out with that. Check your PM's.:thumb:
  21. Rubber stripping above the door...

I need the upper trim also. I went to the dealer to inquire about it and I was quoted at something like 48 bones per side. Thanks for the heads up maximumbob.
  22. 2g gauge in center vent

    http://www.carbonwerks.com/afcpage.html
  23. What do you think about OBX exhaust

I'm going to go ahead and give OBX the thumbs down. From what I understand OBX is a company much like Pacesetter which sells their products for dirt cheap compared to many other DSM parts. Now I don't want to bash on the company but I think you'll find that a lot of their parts are cheaply...
  24. Can use some help with FWD launching!

There's plenty of information out there about how to launch a FWD on this site and several others. Use the search tool to find it though. This site is, among other things, a database and there is a plethora of information at your fingertips if you are willing to look for it. I've seen a lot...
  25. good deal

I'd prefer to have 2 windsheild wipers if I were going to use it as a daily driver... I think it's priced too highly.
  26. Anyone running a dual tip performance muffler?(turbo)

Check out about the fourth post down. There's pictures of the muffler the guy used and I think it looks really really good. Hope this helps you.http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=99128&highlight=magnaflow
  27. Opinions on brake setup

Hey thanks a lot you guys, I appreciate it :thumb:
  28. SBR-2gB16g Or SBR-B16g

Hey, just letting you know beforehand that you're most likely going to need an aftermarket oil-retun line with a 2g20g. I put my 2g20 on my car in late July and since then I have tried adjusting the stock return line and changing gaskets like 5 different times to get the stock pipe to fit and it...
  29. Opinions on brake setup

Ok here's the deal. It's time to do the rotors and pads. I know that I want Powerslot rotors in the front but what about the back? I was wondering what some of you thought. Do you think it would be dirty to just go with a regular un-slotted rotor in back? I know that the front rotors are...
  30. Engine swap....or install a turbo kit on my 2g RS

In my opinion you would save yourself a lot of time and money by just selling your car and buying a gst/gsx. I'm sure you could get a decent amount for your car and then just put the $3,000+ towards that car. I mean I understand that you may be attatched to your car and whatnot and insurance...
  31. Good intercooler for around $300????

Hey does anyone know if you could run a GM blowthrough MAF on that Victory Performance intercooler piping? I like the looks of the Victory Performance pipes but I would really like to do the GMMAF conversion. If anyone can give me some insight on this I'd really appreciate it.
  32. Best brake kit for best price??

The AEM big brake upgrade kit looks to be a pretty solid deal. You can keep your stock calipers and they look really nice too. The price isn't too bad on them either.
  33. RNR 3inch 02 Eliminator Turbo Back Exhaust *Review*

Well as long as everyone is stating their experiences with RNR I figure I might as well do the same as it might make a difference in the way someone spends their hard earned money. It looks like Im not alone when I say that I had to wait a month and two weeks to get my turbo back exhaust. I...
  34. What Turbo is this? [Merged] Turbo ID Identification

Yes, Mitsubishi turbos are compatible with 2gs. You can either get a mitsu turbo and install kit, or you can find a mitsu turbo that has been customized to bolt right up to the 2g manifold. Slowboy Racing makes a turbo that does just this. I recently purchased a 2g20g turbo from them...
  35. Jumpy Driving

I had the same problem with my 98 GST. I changed both the plugs and wires but it didn't solve my problem. Two days ago I tried resetting my ECU by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery. So far so good is all I can say. Since I bought my car in December my car has never felt...
  36. Drastic hesitation under WOT

Yeah I'm also having the same problem and it's the most annoying thing. I'm going to try new plugs but if it comes down to it I'll try replacing the ECU. So I'd also like to know where to get an ECU. It seems to me that more and more people are running into this problem too. I just want it...
  37. not sure if this is a noob question...

So I'm getting ready to install my boost gauge and mbc tomorrow, I'm planning to tap the gauge into the "P" hose on the throttle body and I just got back from looking but the whole hose is gone. There is NOTHING coming from the "P" fitting! I was shocked. I obviously need to replace the hose...
  38. Pyrometer same as EGT? Anyone ever used guagepods.com?

I just got my pillar from Gaugepods.com this afternoon and looked to see how it matched up. The color matches up very nicely (grey), it's nice that they put some texture on it too. It almost looks like it rolled off the lines that way, very happy with it.
  39. Internally gated 20G owners ?

I'd get RNR O2 Eliminator Downpipe. It's supposed to flow better than a majority, if not all, O2 housings on the market. That and the 34mm WG flapper they come with will also perform in your favor.
  40. the most horrible noise in the world

I had the same problem as you this past winter. Ever time I would turn the wheel there was just this god awful noise coming from my front driver's side wheel. Some of my buddies and I took a look at it and it was the joint. We sprayed some penetrating oil in there and turned the wheel back...
  41. MSD or Accel wires?

    Another nod for Accel
  42. Upper Intercooler pipe

I'll just throw you my two cents on the subject. If you take a look at your stock IC piping, right below the airbox/K&N area where the IC piping leaves the engine bay and connects up to the IC, there is a piece of plastic piping that is pretty flattened out. There are a few other spots also...
  43. Upper Intercooler pipe

I highly recommend Dejontool.com for your intercooler piping. Everything you could want in an intercooler pipe is there: quality, support, and durability. You can get the UICP flanged for your HKS BOV without a problem. Mine is flanged for my Apexi BOV and it is a great match. The price is...
  44. 2G Upper Door Trims Window Trim [Merged 5-7]

If you're talking about the trim that goes over the top of the driver/passenger side windows, just go to your local Mitsubishi Dealership. Yeah, it's kind of a last resort thing but they are only like $58 each, not bad considering it's from the dealer, and it will look a lot better when it's done.
  45. Spark Plug Wires

I have Nology Hot Wires on my car now. I will be changing to Magnecores soon as I have been experiencing some inconsistant stutter under mild acceleration. The wires were on my car when I bought it so I have no idea how old they are. There is also some speculation as to these wires neing...
  46. RNR Exhaust

I've made up my mind about the exhaust. I'm going to go with a 3" rnr O2 Eliminator. Thanks for all the input. Another question though...I've decided to step it up and go with an FP Big T-28. So having decided that, is a 34mm flapper a hard mod to do? I understand the point of it and...
  47. RNR Exhaust

Good point. After I actually look at it, it's only like $25 more for a FP big t28, and I know a lot of people on the site like FP's sevice and products. Is it pretty safe to do the "core exchange" thing?
  48. RNR Exhaust

Ok, I was planning on going with a three inch system but just wanted another opinion or two. Also, about the flapper, is that something I can do myself? I am going to get the turbo from DSMotorsport.com. They have a T28 for $725 with no core charge. I was planning on porting it out myself...
  49. RNR Exhaust

I need some help picking the size of the RNR O2 Eliminator exhaust I will be ordering for my car this week. Here are the mods my car will have with the new exhaust system.-Ported T-28 Turbo -Ported exhaust Manifold -255lph fuel pump -550cc injectors -Apexi SAFC -DejonTool UICP and LICP...
