Repalcement pump powers up when wired direct, further checking I found fuel pump test lead was w/r instead of b/w and was wired to connection 9 or 10 on relay base instead of 2. A lot of work due to miswiring at factory( I am original owner w 52,000 miles and have never touched the wiring)...

Thanks for the reponses, I had found and used the test connector (#55 jumpered to bat +) previously but did not get 12v to ground at fuel pump connector(black/white wire). dvm shows this lead (disconnected from bat+) is shorted to ground and I need to find where it is connected to lead from...

Can someone tell me where the fuel pump test lead (in engine bay) junctions with the lead from the relay?,at the relay or somewhere else?I am trying to test flow and flush fuel lines after a long hibernation and replacement of fuel pump, cleaning tank and replacing timing belts, idler pulleys...
