Hey guys. I used to be able to change or use the 'Set Idle' function in ECMLINK. However now, when ever I try to adjust it - it wont do anything. Car stays below 1k, doesn't bounce around in RPM. When revving it drops back down and doesn't hang.Let me know if you need any additional...
That's what I thought. I've read once before that stock both fans kick on at 220. Yes I do have ECM Link but for the life of me I could not find the setting to change this. If I can where can I find it? Is there a way for me to correct this issue outside of link?
Hey guys,I've purchased someone elses headache of course and theres a lot of non - oem things to this car so I'm trying to have a better understanding of how it 'should' be.Heres my one current question :I've noticed that it has two aftermarket electric fans, both wired into the harness...
From what I just experienced it was much easier to just put the integrated part on first (press on) then the damper itself. Again this is with motor in car.
THANK YOU EVERYONE.So to put a nail in the coffin- it's safe the say that you can absolutely mount the ATI Super Damper with the motor still in the car. You do have to lower the motor (a good bit) by disconnecting the driver-side and front-side engine mounts. I didn't use a hoist nor I saw...
Aw dangit. So the Integrated timing gear it does stick out way further than the stock timing gear. No physical way for it to slide between the timing gear and the actually body. The fluid damper will fit once it’s on the gear of course. What I’m trying to figure out is do I really have to...
Sorry - I completely have left out the most important information. The motor is already in the car. I didn't take the motor out because I didn't think I'd run into this hurdle. Yes the ATI Damper is thicker than OEM and I didn't take that into consideration. >_<
Hey guys,I have a 1gb and I did put the timing belt gear on. However when I went to try to put the fluid damper on - I've noticed that I can't squeeze it between the motor and body frame like the OEM Damper. Before doing so, it looks like I would have to remove the driver side motor mount to...
It was a fun adventure getting the belt off. My clearance was crap so i had to remove the driver front wheel and get to the bottom of the alt bolt and take that completely apart. It’s off now!!
Bump really for me -so I have the kit and my belt is on its way out. I did loosen the tensioner thing and now I can't get the belt to come around the alt pulley and the nut that's holding the pulley. I've tried to see if the alt will wiggle a little to slide the belt out - but wont.am I...
Hey guys,I’ve been reading a bunch and need to clear some things up. Right now my car is on pump gas tune (fic 1650, single walbro 450 pump) and was wondering what else is needed to make the switch to e85. I have a few Thornton’s near me that have e85 pumps but I know the ethanol content may...
Okay!I actually am using the 12v source for the cigarette lighter. It only kicks in when the keys are on and it works with the fuse block!! Thanks again for your help mang!
Okay. Well the weird part is the manual says to go 2 FT from the turbo. Which is was further down compared to "stock" location. It said it wouldn't read accurately. Is that true?
So after doing some reading and coming up with nothing this is what I've come up with12v - Pin 102 or 107
Black/Ground - Ground to frame somewhere in car(?)
Dim (not using) - Ground with black to frame somewhere in car(?)
Yellow (Analog) - Pin 4Also on my user manual it says I need to get...
This is all awesome to read and also gives me hope to have fun with my 14b while getting supporting mods to go 'bigger' down the road. Thanks for the guys putting in their .02 on their 14b setup.I'm just getting around to getting LINK. My car is bone stock otherwise other than stock.
Hey guys! I'm in need of a little help. Trying to find calipers seem to be interesting for my 1990 Eagle Talon TSi since I have these RPF1 17x9 +35's. Didn't realize that I would be out of option for doing a big brake swap when I looked into it. This is absolutely my fault. HOWEVER - I do...
Sorry - My mistake. The EGR has been deleted. I'll be checking everything tomorrow and reading up more. Sorry for the newbie questions!I'll post an update tomorrow if I've resolved the issue.ANDYes the idle is low - I haven't tried to turn it up yet.
So far I’ve changed spark plugs with correct gap.No need to get isc as it has been deleted (deleted before my purchase of the car)Checked alternator and that’s fine (unplugged battery and car still ran)Still need to do a blt.Any other tips??
The car to me is only a month old so I did timing belt change including the water pump. Changed the coil pack because it was misfiring on me on throttle (solved) and then my ac compressor went and that’s replaced. As far as anything else - not yet. The only two things that I could find on this...
So here's somewhat of an update. Wheels, coils, brakes and exhaust is on!Wheels : RPF1 17x9 +35
Tires : Sumi 245/40/17
Coils : BC BR
Brakes & Pads : StoptechNothing about putting these wheels on (and coils) were an easy task. Every bolt was SEIZED and extremely "fun" to get off. Oh yeah...
So after dialing in the BC Coils - I've had no complaints about it what-so-ever. Railing corners good and drives perfect. Car needs a lot of work still.
Hey guys - I've searched and found a few threads but didn't feel like the topics were the same as me. I could be wrong but anyways, heres my problem.Car starts up and drives fine (once the car warms up , the idle rpm is pretty low.). When the car idle or when I cruise to a stop w/ clutch...
Thanks for your feedback! I hope they work for me too! Certainly, if they don't work out for me they're coming off and something else is going on. Whatever the case may be - it has to be better than my stock ones because they're shot! Rides like ass right now.
Ah man that’s exciting!! I’ll be going through everything on this car before it gets heavy mods. Staying simple and clean for now with basic bolt ons. May sound crazy but with just an exhaust it opened the turbo flow up. I can actually say I feel a difference! I love this car.
That's funny! I've had a bunch of friends who used BC coils and have had 0 issues. But yet again, they all got aligned by the same guy. So who knows? ::shrug:: So my reason of purchase is other people use them (locally) and love them. I've ridden Tiens and like them too. We will see. I'll...
Yeah. I heard the same. My friend runs it on all his cars and still swears by them. Tbh, the price-point was something I couldn't pass up on for what I got them for + mounted.Got the exhaust welded up & on today. Will post pictures of it later.
Yay so today a few more things came in! Ordered my tires and will be here by Monday! Ended up going with Sumitoyo htr z3 245/40/17Wheels are 7x9 +35
Dp is Megan 2.5 to 3
Yes sir! That's me! I've been chasing little things on the car and slowly tackling them.First week of owning the car : Timing belt, pulleys and water pump oh and Oil ChangeSecond week : A/C Compressor goes - belt almost melts and I thought the car was going to be on fire. Got this...
Hey guys! My name is Sonny and I just recently purchased a very very stock ‘90 Eagle Talon (AWD & Manual)! This baby only has 85xxx miles!I will be posting a build thread here this upcoming week!
Erik! Thanks for this entertaining write up on your build! You’ve certainly helped me and thanks for that (without even talking to you)! Give us an update on the car!!
