I was the original 14b that was ported along with a stock motor and trans. All of which had like 154,000 miles on them. Also had evo fmic, 550s, afc neo, 2g mas, 3" turboback, ported evo3 o2, ported 2g manifold, act 2100 and flywheel. I'm sure there was more but i forget.

Talk about bringing a thread back from the dead.... lol. Long story short, the best I could muster was a 13.1@107 on 93 octane thanks to some shitty tires and trans was going out. Trans ended up blowing a couple weeks later, and I was forced to sell the car =(

Hey man , good numbers! :thumb: Was this on race gas or 93? If it was 93, You might wanna think about richening it up a little except from 3500-4500 and lean that section out like tqmx1 said. It's not dangerously lean everywhere else, but I would aim more for 11.0:1 just to be safe.

Hey man, glad to hear the car is running good! If I were you, I'd take the car somewhere to get dyno tuned. I know Adam knows his shit, but only a dyno is gonna tell you how much power your making, lol. You should take it down to my buddy's shop, I can help tune it for you if you want.

I'm running an afc neo right now. I tuned it at my buddy's shop on their dyno with a wideband. My AEM wideband will be here tuesday. I had a logger but my palm pilot broke, so I have a new one coming this week also.I am shifting out of 1st and second at about 6800 and shift into 4th around 6400.

Does the car run fine otherwise? Try a leakdown test to try and find out where you are losing compression. Maybe all you need is some headwork. While your in there, just throw some goodies in ;)

450's will work but I'd keep the boost at stock levels. 650's are what you should get with the 16g, more than enough to max out the 16g. You need some type of fuel management. an SAFC will work ok with the 650's just be careful with the timing advance. A good idea would be to get a chip burned...

Yea I did all of the tuning myself. I've done all the work on my car myself, with the exception of the clutch and flywheel, I just didnt feel like doing it on jackstands in my garage.

This was all done at a shop my buddy works at in Franklin Park, it's called P&L Motorsports. And no, I don't have a wideband installed yet. I'll try to get a dyno sheet up here for you guys. My air/fuel was between 10.8-11.3 most of the time.

Well this saturday, the car is going back on the dyno. Last time I was there for a baseline, at 17 psi, the car put down 251 whp and 271 wtq. A/F was so rich, the dyno chart just flatlined at 10:1 haha. Since then I have added a front mount and fixed some boost leaks. Boost will be around 20-21...

It was only 3 baseline runs, but I'm friends with the guy that dynoed my car, so I had him lean it out after the first 2 runs, and it was still rich. I really dont wanna mess with it much until I get a wideband. Either way, the car pulls hard and smooth, and I'd rather be rich than lean anyways.

Thats just the thing, I have checked for leaks and found nothing, and even took the car to Devo Tuning and they found no leaks either, so who knows lol. It's not like the boost was dropping all that fast either. I twould spool up to 20psi by 3k and from 6k to 7k it would slowly drop to 18 psi...

I want to max out my 14b before I step up to anything bigger, so I guess my question is, will switching from a ported 2g mani to a tubular help at all?

I've already got a ported 2g manifold, I'm just seeing what everyone's opinions are on tubular style.

I am considering getting a tubular exhaust manifold for my car. I'm still on the 14b right now and may step up to a 16g at some point after I max out my 14b. My question is, will a tubular manifold help me at all on the 14b? How about the 16g? Any recommendations on brands?

I just installed some 550's and an afc neo. At 16 psi on a 14b, no matter what i set the afc at I start getting really bad knock right around 5000 rpms. I am also seeing up to 3200 Hz of airflow. Is it just me or does that sound really high?

smdturbo, if the wastegate flapper door doesnt shut all the way, then it will be leaking out boost, instead of creeping fyi
