Yeah that’s what I did with mine, from factory they put a crazy amount on the door and with me being in Florida it just melted it and make a nasty mess. A plastic Razor and WD-40 is your friend along with a automotive eraser !

Yeah that's what I was afraid of when it wouldn't slide back in fully. I just took a pic of how the holes are aligned I know it's dark but that's the best I could get right now. You think it's what Steve said as well that it's to far in and over tensioned
