Hello! So the guy i bought the car from swapped the transmission out with a new (used) transmission out of a 2g but Im not sure and he isnt either of what year and etc. I need a new flywheel but the shop I was at couldn't figure out for certain what one it is so they can get the correct one...

Would you really wanna use soapy water for clean that? Why not throttle body cleaner with my sock i use to get it off? Its worked great before when cleaning my 3g eclipses tb.

Well I could unplugged that line and see if it was where it sat before and if so it should be "fine" once plugged in.

I was going to go clean the throttle body the other day when I noticed that there was an elbow attached the it. Is there a gasket between the tb and the intake elbow? I was also curious if i should put pb blaster on the bolts because it looks as if no one has ever tried to clean it in 20 years...

The shop that fixed my leak quoted it at $1400 and that was without doing the flywheel.I'm gonna take it to a different shop that only works on that kind of thing so the price should be a few hundred with it all said and done.

Which I believe on the stock tune with the 16g turbo the guy i bought it from just installed should be running around 12-13ish im assuming so that would work. Is it recirculated and would work with an Injen intake im wanting to get after my cars out of the shop?

Well it looks like they could probably cut those spots out and weld on a steel plate (I would suggest steel) and then have them paint it. Also are you working on your head or something because I can see your pistons in the block lol.

That looks pretty bad. But when I bought mine they must of had the same problem because they cut out the rust and welded on pieces of steel and painted it. It's holding together still for me but just gotta keep an eye on it and make sure they're clean.
