Huh I didn't think I cld just remove the bolt thought I had to disconnect the lines. Damn that makes things easier. Just got it discharged so hopefully now I can finally have heat lol
Anybody got advice on unhooking the AC lines to the evaporator in the engine bay. I gotta take out the heater core and the evaporator is in the way, but there is no room in the engine bay to even get to the lines.
My car door used to not lock with the key in the ignition. I locked my keys in the car yesterday (scary how easy it is to break into these cars), they were in the ignition and realized that something must have broken when I got back in and tested it out.
Anyone deal with this before, know how to...
Anyone know about hard starts when my cars sits for awhile? I've already checked the obvious battery, alt., starter, changed spark plugs, changed coolant temp. Sensor.
I checked the voltage for the cam angle sensor 8volts for power and 5volts for the switch.
This is the only problem. Car drives...
Anyone know how to remove this? It's getting caught on something. Maybe remove the tensioner bolt, it's really long and is taking forever to remove figured ide ask. Pic below.
Rims in fair condition, have tires on em with little tread. Need gone asap. I'm located in DE.
First jpeg that rim is the one in worst condition.

How tight should I tighten the bolt on the pulley? Just snug or tight? My pulley started squealing after I changed the belt and I'm wondering if I tightened the bolt too much. I loosened it a little and the squeal isn't as bad, but still present.
I know this is a sign that the bearing went bad...
I was watching this pulley it seems to move quite a bit. I'm sure I need to replace the belt because it squeaks in the cold but I might as do both. Video below of pulley. Middle video I hadn't re-tightened the tensioner yet.
On my 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS, my serpentine belt squeaks. It had coolant dripping on it for a couple weeks, about 2yrs ago. Now I can't get the squeaking to stop so I need a new belt, anyone have suggestions for belt brand? Completely stock 420a still has AC and all that.
So I checked the wires and didnt find a cut. But my AC was on before I took everything apart and now it revs up if I turn the AC on more otherwise it revs on its own around 1,200. Its almost like the car is reacting to the AC. Hopefully the video works.
My 420a started revving by itself after I removed the battery and added trans fluid in. I thought i snagged a wire, but didnt see any cuts. It revs more when I turn on the fan.
I actually have a pair of those just not sure how it help undoing the lock, I can get the connector off one the lock is slid open but that's a pain in the ass
any tips on undoing the lock on this harness? It's for the speedometer on a 420a. I can barely get my hand down there and we all know how sticky connectors can get.
If I cant undo it maybe I can take the bolt out bring the entire piece up without undoing the connection?
I took of the battery and tray to get through to the fill plug for the transmission. Couldn't get it off that way, so I put the battery back in to get the car lifted up again. Now its revving to 2000rpm on it's own, itll jump to 2300rpm when I start it. It goes down to normal, then after a bit...
Okay, I just dont have enough oil to do a full change, nor the money. So I figured new oil filter since I already have one, and top it off with whatever I lose and I'll be good.
Okay so my oil level is perfect when it's off and cold and level, but if I let it run for about 10 to 20 seconds it goes down by half a quart which makes sense but should I fill in that extra half a quart?
Okay it looked kind of weak but I wasn't sure what it was yeah that's where I jack up my car the front crossmember so I figured it would be okay but I figured I'd ask
Yeah I know I found it really weird but I guess it happens sometimes and I guess I was supposed to grease them before putting them in but I've never heard of that
I was going to check the plugs but I can't get the wires off there stuck at the bottom where the metal pin part is and their new NGK wires so I don't feel like breaking them
