I agree as well, I know for sure both 2g i have almost die and idle extremely rough. I can't even imagine trying to drive them like that. so if your car acts the same with maf plugged or unplugged that's not normal. I wouldn't move it until you know what's happening, could cause far worse issue.

don't let auto discourage you:) I have both and each is fun in it's own way. I like launching auto in boost, but 5 speed is much more responsive under 20mph.
