I work in the metrology lab at my job running a Wenzel 5 axis cmm. We also have a Creaform HandySCAN 3D scanner that I use with their software VXelements. I could always try and scan some parts and save the STL files out somewhere
I'm wanting to buy a 420a power steering pump pulley. The splines on my pulley are shot and are causing my pulley to wobble and throw the belt off. I really just need the pulley but will buy the pump with the pulley if I need to. I really hope someone has one of these.
Thanks
We need someone to 3D scan a set that is in good condition, so someone can think about making new ones. Or at least to try and find a way to make old ones stronger and last longer.
I bought an Evo steering wheel conversion bracket from Dudes Custom Parts for my Evo wheel. Install was easy and pretty straight forward.
No cutting or welding. About as easy as it gets to put an Evo wheel in a DSM I think.
I would check both fuse boxes just because it's easy. And if you're worried about the draw with the doors open you can always just remove the door jamb switches on both sides so the lights stay off.
The LED conversions were offered by @spyderdrifterI believe the gage pod for the inner mirror cover was @Kai Hefner, but I'm not sure.
Maybe he'll chime in
Every time I end a session in the shop I always put my tools up no matter what. This has helped me more organized in the long run, and I always know where my tools are.
I also clean them if they are dirty, because I can't stand dirty tools.
I was wondering if anyone has replaced the bulbs in the factory headunit? Or if anyone knew the size of the bulbs?
I have a spare Infinity headunit, and I was thinking about replacing the yellow bulbs with some white LED's possibly.
Some of the lights are in a neo wedge base, and some of them...
https://engineswapdepot.com/?p=16957There is a link to the website I read about it on. This is quoted straight from the article:
"Power goes through a custom four-speed transmission made from an Evo case and custom gears."
The article isn't super in depth, but there are a few pictures and videos.
I see now. It does look like the machine shop slipped and nicked that area. That little lip is part of the head. You maybe could try and file down that portion that is sticking out. Since it's aluminum it should be soft and easy to do.
Or just take it back to your machine shop
Below are two pics I stole from Google and circled the solenoid in red.
Like @97egl said, the solenoid is externally mounted. Sometimes they have a shield or cover covering them (also circled in red)
What do you mean where it's actually located? If you have an auto 420a you should be able to see that solenoid right around where the trans dipstick tube is
Two scammer tried to get me too. One of the emails I was given to email is the same as you! I didn't even bother replying because I knew they were scams.
I have a Mishimoto M-Line intercooler without a crash bar because of the intercooler, and I haven't cut that black part of my front bumper... yet. I also have all my ac stuff.
I run a KOYORAD Hyper-V 36mm Radiator with one radiator fan.
My GSX has never over heated on me, and I drive it plenty...
https://www.2gnt.com/index.php?d=A_Proper_RebuildThere is a pretty good how-to on the engine rebuild. Although they use head bolts in the how-to, not head studs.
But I'm sure the manufacturer of your brand head studs would have installation instructions for them.
The 420a timing cover isn't split at the head and the block. So that means you have to pull the front timing cover off, pull all the timing components off, and then pull the rear timing cover off. I suggest when you get the timing covers off you cut them at the block and the head. This would...
Does anyone know if the rear brake calipers from a 2004-2007 CTS-V will fit a 2g?I know the front brake calipers will, but I don't recall anyone saying if the rears do or not.
I order one of these Eclipse key racks, and got it in the mail today. This thing looks sweet!
This is website I ordered from:

You can get a bunch of different colors too.
I used some Dupli-Color perfect match paint. I didn't use any clear afterwards, although I should have. I've had good luck with the Spray Max 2k clear, and it does work with the Dupli-Color perfect match stuff. The only thing I didn't like was that Dupli-Color didn't have the correct color...
Probably. That's essentially what I did. Cleaned off the top painted part of the seam sealer, and painted over it with new paint. I would just make sure the seam sealer is dry before re-attempting to paint over it again.
I had this happen on one of my 2g's. I added new seam sealer in an area. When I went to paint over the new seam sealer, the seam sealer got all tacky and the paint over it never dried. I think this is because I used an enamel based paint. After that I cleaned everything off, and used an acrylic...
When I'm not working on my 2 DSM's, I'm working on my Yamaha R1, R6, and YFZ 450 🥵.
It's a lot to keep everything maintained and runningCurrently have a 09 GSX-R engine pulled out because someone didn't tighten down a spark plug and the compression and combustion forces shot the plug out...
