Hi,
I Can see where the connectors are in the engine bay,
but what I am trying to figure out is the style of connector so I can get a female / male set and make a patch cable to relocate.hope that helps
Hey everyone,
Does anyone know what style of connectors are on the AC fuse box?
Some jerk put a AFPR where it’s supposed to be and I’d like to make a patch cable to relocate the fuse box when I go to add it back the summer.Thanks.

Hey Everyone,
I am trying to piece together everything to put AC back in my car its a 92 6 bolt AWD.
everything online point towards this as the compressor connector https://www.ohm-racing.com/product/ac-1-way-connector-evo-x-evo-8-9-1g-dsm
however the only thing around the back of the intake...
Thanks guys I ordered one off extreme psi last night thinking it was the same, it looks identical you would think he would list it as the rad fan connector
Does anyone know what connector type is used for the fan thermo switch on a 1G? i had a wire get brittle and busted the connector trying to remove the pin.
yes it click/thuds every time.
ive also put a spade connector on the solenoid and jumped it to the battery and it cranks every time. which leads me to believe its some kind of power delivery problem.
i have a wire across pins 3 and 4 right now and its behaving the same,
but do you know where to get one? i seen one on performance part part out but none seem to exist in new form.

Hey Everyone,
looking for ideas.
right now i have the clutch position switch un plugged and the starter relay jumped i am getting an intermittent no crank
when i probe all pins at the relay during crank, I am seeing battery voltage at one of the vertical pins (3 i think) but none anywhere else...
Shot in the dark, but I got a car with a wideband with no markings it goes into a aem gauge which I hope means it’s an aem ( I’ve heard they’re crap though) would anyone by chance know what model this is?
sensor is from 2012 era I tried looking at some sensors on line didn’t see any with...
Hey everyone I was prepping my cylinder head last night and made the mistake of spraying the deck with Chlorinated brake clean. I have black nitride SS intake and inconel exhaust.
are these valves junk now? Is it worth to continue?
i get what you saying because the valve is nearly closed and the piston is moving away after the first few points my scrutiny went way down so they are probably wrong.
i had to advance the intake 1/2 or cam degree after this,
this was my original p to v

Yeah I used checking springs had zero lash and zero’d the indicator. My intake is only .040 lift at 11btdc so I think that’s why it’s moving in an abnormal pattern for you
long story short my "snug" indicator holder needed another quarter turn, when the cam would start to lift the valve it would push up the mic ~20 after i honked it down it was fine.
Hey everyone,
i ended up getting these results for a piston to valve measurements. and in not quite sure how i feel.

Ok thanks, I have a nice starrett indicator base that is one of those string tension ones and a magnet bottom I know it’s not the fixture moving. I swapped back to stock retainer for checker spring as they’re bigger than the kiggly ones. It’s been a real PITA I am going to see if a small magnet...
Yes, the only thing I’m doing differently Is leaving an indicator in the spark plug hole to confirm TDC each round.
For some reason my cam likes to run out when the valve isn’t open
Hey Everyone, I am trying to degree my cams.
I have a set a kelfords and I have an indicator on top of the piston and one on the back of the valve. I am also using BLE solid lifters with the lash set as close to zero as possible. My issue is I am seeing about 20 thou run out on the base cam.

Hey I got around to making my fuel line for pump to fuel filter. I can’t squeeze the -8AN fuel line following the stock line location in between the chassis and the subframe. what do most people do? It looks like hose can fit but not fitting. Do people just drop the sub frame? Is there a trick...
Thanks everyone for chiming in, my biggest tip to anyone would be not to peel back any of the hose, with a clean cut on grinder ferrule slips in and then hose end slide over quite easy take me about 10 minutes to do one. Also my closed end of 12 pt wrench is much better then the adjust aluminum...
Here’s where I am now, it seems like I can’t get the hose end over the olive, from everything I seen I’m Only supposed to push the braided steel back and not remove any, but to me it seems the hose end is to jammed to move over the olive. Should I trim it he stainless back?
Thanks guys, I did try some heat shrink but didn’t help with the grinder, I got .040” cutting wheels was the smallest I could find. Since those pvc cutters are so cheap it would be dumb to not give it a try.
thanks
Hey everyone trying to run some -8 PTFE hose for my fuel feed line.
i am just wondering the best way to go about these fittings they are a real PITA.
i've tried various grinders, saw etc. but from what i can gather the heat from cutting causes the ends to swell and cannot install the first part...
HI CD9A,
I think you are misunderstanding my question.
I have AEM adjustable cams however, phasing the cams does not change the timing marks.my question is.
Will my timing marks always be off because of the larger oil pump gear is my question.-Will
Hey everyone,
I am trying to time my engine with English racing oil pump pulley and i can't get the cam and crank timing marks to align,if my theory is right shouldn't the crank be slightly above the timing mark due to the circumference difference?
if i move it one more tooth below it moves...
Hey everyone,
my engine has been apart a long time and the person who took the engine apart (may or may not be me) did a bad job on bagging and tagging.i am trying to see if i got the correct specs on the tensioner arm bolt, tensioner arm and idler pulley.the FSM is straight up terrible...
i unfortunately already have the short block together,
i thought about using the balance shaft check hole but read a forum thread where they said they were getting too much oil in the catch can from it.-Will
Hey Everyone,
when my car last ran i had blow by issues.
so this time around i opted to tap the block to create a breather port, as i'm running much wider ring gaps and more boost.
The casting is a little thin here at the tap so i am worried about fitting material selection, i know brass is...
Hey thanks for that update, I had to go to 67 ft lbs using arp ultra torque lube, I was really worried something was wrong.
I had 3/8” arp 2000 looking for 5.5-5.9 thou as recommended by eagle. They said target torque was 43 ft lbs using arp moly. But ultra torque was what was supplied
These are brand new, my machinist torqued them down to do oil clearance.
I bought an arp rod bolt stretch gauge just to do this. Sounds like I shouldn’t care about the torque only the stretch I am getting.

Hey Everyone,
i got a set or Eagle H-Beams that i am trying to install however,
instruction say to use ARP moly lube to 43 ft-lbs for 5.5-5.9" bolt stretch.
i am using the lube supplied (arp ultra torque) smothering the threads and face as instruction say,
43ft lbs gets me ~4 thousands...
Thanks for looking out to my guys.
I just have set of 8.3:1 weiscos with eagle rods and crank (2.0)
Yes I have kiggly high pressures and evo rocker arms to match.
I’ve never met anyone else run these cams, have you notice any rocker arm wear?
That’s one of my major concerns.

Hi Everyone,
i am noticing on my ACL rod bearings that 4 are stamped on the notched side and 4 are stamped on the other side.
i cant find any indication on either being a top or bottom, does it matter what way you install ACL rod bearings?
they came wrapped in the same sleeve.thanks,
-Will

i dont disagree with motomattx, however i dont have access to a rod weighing apparatus.
i tried calling 2 of my local machine shops but they arent able to get to it.
i think im just going to...

#2 481.30
#3 482.10
#4 481.331&4 984.02, 2&3 963.40i still haven't weighed my rods yet, but i am looking to take full advantage of my Kelford 276HL cams. i plan on spinning it to 8500. its the reason why id like to be tight on my reciprocating mass.

Hey guys I just finished up weighing my pistons, wrist pins, and rings and found I have a 1.5 gram weight difference max to min.do you guys think it’s safe to take the 1.5 grams of the inside of the pin boss?I was going to put a gentle chamfer there.
Thanks,

Been Looking to find a replacement set of rear calipers for my 1g AWD, anyone know of a place that stocks them or a friendly swap for them? it seems like most people just look to buy a used set.thanks,

As a Powertrain Engineer myself (Calibration) there really are good ones and bad ones, always hyperbole lol. unless you really know them always take them with a grain of salt.
