how come with such a big turbo and only 550cc injectors does my car never run lean? once i even installed a mbc and didnt pay attention to where it was set and almost hit 30 psi and my afr bottomed out rich??????

i see guys say they run 10.5 at full boost with no problems. and do you know if safc changes timing ( been told that it does) and if so, does adding fuel advance or retard timing?or is changing the afr what makes the ecu adjust timing?i know this doesnt belong in this thread but when you...

im running a black box right now. but dont wanna waste money on flash equipment when link is my real goal. is there any tune out there that adjust to a target AFR? my stock timing changes seem to be right on with what other 2g are running from what ive seen.

ive done a boost leak test 2 weeks ago and flared the end of all my fittings. (it was really hard to get back together with the flares) i wish i had to way to count knock. i dont hear anything. it runs good and smooth. as soon as i sell my parts car ill have dsmlink. (I WANT IT BAD) ive learned...

no boost leak. timing is at 12-14 at wot with 15 and 20psi at about 5000rpm

i use apexi safc and wideband. along with logger on my phone to look at other readings afr at between 11.5 and 10.5

The car feels faster at 15psi than it does at 20psi!!! What's the deal??

get the good bushings but MOOG ball joints suck. get the napa premium ball joints. they are a little more exspensive but will last a lot longer.

cheap fix. just replace the lower control arms. they come with ball joints.

No sir. That will cause lots of play in steering wheel. And so will bad inner and outer tie rod ends. But does not cause it to pull under acceleration.

You could have ruined Ur lower control arm bushings running on a flat tire.

I do front end alignments for a living,and the only things that cause a car to pull on acceleration are lower control arm bushings and bad motor mount.CV axle will cause a bad vibration A bad tire or mounted backwards tire will cause "radial pull" but will pull all the time.

If I was maxing out the injectors it would be lean at high boost right?

Got the wideband AEM on. When I go into boost car goes full rich. Could these injectors have been reworked? How could I be so rich with such (small injectors)

I started playing with my safc while I was driving home on some back roads. Turned all the fuel levels to zero and the car runs better and takes more boost than ever. It's only at higher rpm (5000) it starts cutting out. O2 gauge showes full rich. I'm lead to believe I've been flooding it this...

I have not looked where the boost gage is T in at. I just to the electronic boost control off yesterday.

Stuck. I opened it by hand when I had the manifold off last weekend. Had to push really hard to open the flap

so i just pulled the injectors.... they are rc 550 ... that has to be too small for this big turbo!!!! is that why im cutting out!!! is there any way a 550 can keep up with what im running???

I know I have no boost leaks. Tested it today. Any advice. I have fuel turned up on the safc just to be safe. Still have not got to install the wideband. The exhaust guy at work has been busy. And my car won't make it up on his lift. Too steep. But we are gonna do it on the ground with jacks...

I can tell this car is going to be a monster when it's running right. All my issues are under boost conditions now. Runs great otherwise

Update!!! Fixed my boost leak. Bolt missing from turbo only thing holding my waste gate Valve on was a tak weld lol. Pressure was pouring out of that bolt hole. So new issue. Car boost all the way to 20psi but only in 5 gear. 1gear only takes a couple of pounds and then it cuts out. 2nd takes a...

Any reason why with the black box in, the car cuts out when I get almost to 10psi cuts out hard!!

Good news. Installed the black box and rewired the plug wires. Idles and runs smooth thru the entire rpm range. I'm now running negative settings on my safc like it should be. Bad news the exhaust leak is worse now that I put the tubular manifold back on. And I notice the turbo is still hitting...

Bummer....what specs do I need? How can I find out?

Was thinking about grinding the banjo bolt and a little on the turbo. The spot where it hits is a flat surface on the turbo.
