Well, I just rewired my Kenwood deck to run through the factory amp, powering a component system, then the fosgate 6x9's ran off the factory amp as well. I must say.... it sounds great. I am going to run an amp and a 12 and call it a day for as long as that factory amp holds out
Reading this just reminds me of my life, I would follow the advice of the guys up above and get it cleaned up and safe and sell it, look outside the range you normally would. Sometimes going a few hundred miles can make a world of difference.
Well let's see, where to start. I have wanted a Eclipse since high school when they were the in thing. I have always loved the way the 2g looked. The curves and setup were far ahead of the times.Anyways a little about my skills and abilitys. I am a DIYer I always like to think I can do...
There are plenty of places that sell Carpet precut for the 2g. Honestly anything but stock on the trim just looks... wrong in my eyes. And the other thing is yes there may only be 105k on it... but What are the OEM Manit suggestions, also who is to say how hard that car was driven in those miles.
I know I checked a few aftermarket sites that sell connectors and I couldn't find one that matched up. A wiseman will be helpful, but maybe by process of elimination you will be able to find it. I find it funny after all this time I am still in Probie status. Most of the time is because I find...
Well there is this post. http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/the-1990-engine-control-wiring-harness.412841/#post-152709637 I assume if you cannot find it on this one there might be a larger issue. No problem at all, fresh eyes always tend to help a situation! Hope the best for you man.
I would highly suggest following the maintenance schedule as well. Getting all those little things done doesn't seem like it would help.... and it's not a big flashy mod.... but it is beyond worth it.
I know http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/2g-engine-bay-electrical-connections.298047/This is where I go to solve all those SOL moments on connectors. Able to find it in here?
Any metal shop should have a supply, I know I was trying to do the same thing and stretch the AC controls down to the bottom. I wanted a touch screen radio unit up top. Was a lot more work than I thought, in the end it wasn't worth it. You should show some pics as you go along. Anyone else have...
well he said he rebuilt the engine, the transmission was done in a shop, He sent me a picture of his shop and it looks pretty good, not saying a moron cant have a good shop, but it says something to have a nice one.Basically my wife said this is it, no more chasing the dream after this one. I...
Yeah that's what I thought, engine rebuild said his out 4K on and oil was clean on change*put 4000 miles onI like how it is atock everywhere, not one thing chopped LOL
I got one from force four. I was able to get a little discount since the 75s weren't in stock. I got the hundred series for 220 shipped. So a lot more than I wanted to pay but I Do have box in hand. Now I just have to figure out the wiring LOL
So I swear I searched EVERYWHERE looking for a shifter box. Forced four are out of the 150 dollar option, road doesn't make em anymore, am I missing something? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I am looking to hook up my new 3G auto shifter in my 97 gst to use manual tiptonic.
Hey all, so I am pretty damn new to turbos.... go figure. Another one! I have two turbos, one has shaft play and I know it would have to be rebuilt, and the other has zero shaft play but I believe I would have to get an adapter to hook it up. I googled everything I could think of to find the...
Yeah, I tried installing it in the factory location, and I found myself bobbing and weaving to see around the shifter. If I had a manual I doubt it would be as big of an issue but alas the Gods sent me an Auto. I have never done fiberglass before... just getting into the car world. Looking at a...
Hey all,
Long time reader.... First time posting, looked all over google, as well as the DSM sites for a solution. This is the first time I cannot find an answer! Finally made the plunge into DSM's about 4 months ago.... Got sucked into a 97 GS Manual. Then I found the rust.... way to much. So...
