I have seen/ herd of one that made 560 whp on a AWD dyno. Bone stock with 90,000+ miles and many trips down the track. It has never been into. As stated above its all in the tuning.
Dont sandblast it, you will never get the sand all out. Just take it to the machine shop, as they have all the stuff needed to take care of you there. They can have it dipped and they will machine out the cyclender walls anway. Congrats on the new motor.

Try C16, you will never turn back. Thats my gas of choice for race day. I have run as much as 28 psi with an afc ( I.E. no timing retard) and still no knock. When I get my car tuned it will go up to 34 psi with the same fuel.
