So I got around to finally working on the 1g for last month. I was able to replace the lower control arms, end links and sway bar bushings on both sides of the car front axle wise. I also had to get a drivers cv axle as I popped a boot throwing grease EVERYWHERE!Besides that since fresh paint...
Coming back from seven surgeries during the start of this build has been pretty insane. Besides that, I moved into a new home with the family and sold project rogue sadly. With this build, I still have my sights on Road Course racing and am taking it a month at a time. As you can see the CTSV...
If this issue has not been corrected, try out a different PTU. I have a 90 and tried a second PTU and rewired everything FAIL. Changed my battery, and upgraded my alternator FAIL. Wired in the prius coils and it fixed my issue!
As Cal said your off boost power will be great, so your daily driving and fuel economy out of boost will make you happy. I chose a higher compression for the off boost response, and I forgot the math equation but simply bumping up the compression it’ll make the same amount of power with I think...
So my last 7bolt motor threw a rod and I’ve gotten around to finally pulling the motor to discover what happened. This motor was 150mm eagle H-beams, wiseco 8:5.1 e85 with 1800cc injectors on about 25psi from a turbonetics 60mm.From the looks of it it looks like cylinder 2’s bearing had an...
Your first dsm if so man congrats, and pace yourself don’t rush to build son super crazy, start small and work up. I started stock all the way to 500Ish and now I want more.
So I’m currently on my second build, I blew up my 7-bolt in cylinder two so i got a 6 bolt block for a steal. Currently the motor is out of the car I’m looking to use this one for high compression medium to high boost on this setup aiming for 700+ HP with good spool characteristics from the high...
Good morning tuners. I'm in the process of rebuilding my bottom end, and someone offered me these for a steal. I know one rod bearing has spun, and i attached the pictures to compare the rods. This setup supposedly has 3,000 miles on it. Should i skip out on this or replace the rod then get the...

Okay I found my problem!!!! The tool broke before it got anywhere near the arm (reason why I couldn't see it touching the arm. I will try to tap it and unscrew it. I just used the tensioner pulley to set my tension on my belt for now. I will finish it all tomorrow evening.
I just got of work guys. I know the motor is 100% fine with CW because my mother is the original owner! I will work on it when I get home. I'm just confused on how in videos showing the timing belt install, the belt just gets mega loose and slides off.
Thanks for the input I've been down from tuners because of work. I'm trying to finish my timing belt so I've been slacking. I need help on it lol I'm reinstalling and lost with the tensioner pulley.I can't remember it's the one that hooks to the stock manifold.
This will be my first timing belt install, and I am very nervous. I looked at the vfaq but I need more details. Like what should I look out for. I don't want to bend my valves.
What's up go so I disassembled my head to put valve seals in. Putting everything back together I was going to put on the rockers and they were super loose. I know they are supposed to be tight in there, how do I install them correctly?
I wouldn't do 18 inches, can harm your drivetrain, and your speed will be off. I'll do 17 inches for less rotational mass.35mm will be the max anything over will require fender rolling.
