Just doing an update guys wired up the new pigtails and sockets and we got turn signals!!! And they fit the light housing perfect. Thanks for all the help guys
I thought this also but it's a sealed unit I don't see a way of doing such a thing. There are some sockets that look like they would work on eBay. They are 3 wire instead of 2 though. I ordered them so I'll keep you guys updated if they work. Should be here wensday...

I've actually taken the the wires out of the connectors themselves and cleaned them then put them back in the plug. I have tested both power sources with a test light and they do have power. I how ever have not tested the grounds or to see if the socket itself when plugged in is getting power...

Ok what's the purpose of the block off plate can't I just connect the two coolant lines of the throttle body togeather and cap of the two vaccume lines on the egr valve off and call it a day?

Hey guys! Sorry it took so long for a update. During my alternator trouble I noticed my timing belt looked a lil sketchy so I decided to do a timing belt and water pump replacement also. Anyway back on subject I got the Saturn alternator wired up and mounted and she's now charging at 13.7 volts .
Portum had a pic of a second gen on his profile pick so I just assumed that's what he had then you chimmed in lasthop05 so I wasn't sure if it was just second gen alternators that started charging after a free rev of 2800 or if that diagnosis covered my 1st gen as well..so I guess time to break...

From my understanding On second gens theres 4 things that can mess with the alternator. The fuse, there's a relay by your coolant reservoir the low battery light indicator and the ECM.
Yes the battery warning light comes on when key is in the ON position. When car starts the battery light disappears. As far as the altanator goes the first one I bought I had them test it twice it passed both times I still had them replace it with another then also had them test it the machine...

I did not test the fuse. I just replaced it. And yes the yellow wire that runs from the altanator to the battery are connected to one another. I tested the yellow wire at the back of the altanator and it cares the 12.6 volts the battery is giving off. Now if I follow steps 1-5 on the thread you...

I just purchased a 1990 eagle talon working some kinks out of her to get it back on the road.. I recently ran into a charging issue with the altanator. Battery starts at 12.6 when started and slowly dies from there.it has a brand new altanator on it...
They do not come with forged Pistons. Did you get a build recepit when you purchased the car? Maybe on the build someone installed forged Pistons? In witch case it's normal to her this for a min on cold starts
