I been thinking of teeing the line to the PCV or possibly making my own "small canister" with a line to the existing purge valve and routed back to the intake. But if I can't think of anything I'll probably just do the s as me thing you're doing
What's up everybody, it is now 7 a.m. and I have not slept at all. I spent all night searching for an answer but all the threads with this topic dates back to 2005 and older. It is now 2021 and I'm wondering if anyone has figured out a new way to go about this.
Question: is there a better way to...
Have not tried it yet. I will tomorrow when I'm home. I'm kinda inclined to think that maybe my fuel pump cant handle the pressure 🤔 (or maybe it's just me making up excuses to buy a bigger pump lol)
My fellow DSMers, Im hoping one of you guys could shed some light as to what is going on.
As you can see in the video, my fpr seems to go crazy as soon as the pressure reaches 43 psi. This is my first fpr install so idk what to expect.
I am using ecmlink to run the fuel pump in case anyone was...
Yes, I just made the diameter of the holes a tad bit bigger and it made all the difference I needed. Went in like hot knife through butter. Unfortunately I just realized one of the studs is stripped so ima have to helicoil and replace it. Kinda wanna just run without it. But I guess I better get...
Did you ever get this resolved? Mine isn't fitting either, the holes are just slightly bigger than the studs and theres no wiggle room to get the other studs centered correctly (oem fits nicely) I'm thinking of drilling the hole bigger with drill bit or dremel
I think this video will help you answer your first 2 questionsWatch "HOW TO: EVO SWAP YOUR ECLIPSE (FWD VERSION!)" on YouTubeI'm not sure how deep it goes in details I just happened to stumble across it the other day. He has the FWD version and a AWD version. However, He has a US spec...
Ima go out on a limb here and say I agree with the top posts. BUT also want to throw in the possibility that since you installed new speakers (i dont know if they are just regular 6x9 speakers or a subwoofer in a box)you could have probably short circuited something and blown a fuse? Did you...
Hi, I just got my hands on an Evo 3 intake manifold and my boost gauge just arrived.
Here's my question, should I just use the extra nipple for my boost gauge, or should i plug it and do it like the old fashioned way and use the fuel pressure line? I just want to make sure I get the most...
In all honesty man, I would take advantage of this "excuse" to get a 1g throttle body from the junkyard. Just make sure to get new biss screw and tb seals wich can be bought for less than 10 dollars and installed in less than 10 minutes
I have a 2g and I I lo ive it. But I will always have a special place in my heart for a 1g with the pop up headlights. To me there is no better looking dsm. If I could fine one cheap I would get it
I'm doing my BLT at the throttle body and at the turbo inlet at around 20 psi. I turn off the compressor once it's full and listen to sounds while spraying soapy water around injectors throttle body intercooler piping. I might have to test both mas and see if maybe I just have 2 bad ones. Is...
Regulator seems to be working fine, fuel injectors are clean and voltage is right, do you think the injector resistor might have something to do with the car running rich? I kinda doubt it
I'm really trying to get my car running right. But I'm at the point of giving up on it. I cant find nowhere online that can answer why my car is running rich ONLY in BOOST. Normal driving is good but once I step on it my Wideband says I'm running RICH and maxed out at 7:1 AFR. And the car has no...
No mods. Car is basically stock. I stroked it to 2.3, i have a 3 inch exhaust 3 in cat and a 2.5 o2 housing. Fuel pressure regulator is oem and seems to be working fine. Tunning wise I have ecuflash but I have not messed with tunning yet.
Thanks for the reply. My problem is that my car goes to 7 AFR when I go into boost. I have no boost leaks, I changed 2 different maf, I checked injector voltage, and had them flow tested and cleaned, I'm running out of ideas. I wonder if a bad o2 sensor would cause this. But wouldnt it throw a code?
So what your saying is, I dont have to use an ecu pin for the yellow wire? Just tape it up it out of the way and just connect that serial port straight to my computer?
Hey thanks for the write it's pretty straight forward. However it seems as my evo scan isnt engaging even tho I hear the computer say "link engaged" heres a pic
