head gaskets aren't that hard but its time consuming and you need to make sure its done right. if you have a buddy that's done a dsm head gasket have them come lend u a hand

I've jumped a t belt 3 teeth in the "safe" direction by the cam gears being turned. I didn't know it right away. it sounded terrible I started it and shut it right off. pulled the timing cover and found the belt jumped. I redid the timing and its actually been fine since pretty scary though

could have a bad sensor in the TB. FIAV could be malfunctioning

I have a gst and its tough to get consistent launches on street tires. Mine is always right on the edge of blowing the tires off. It makes it fun and frustrating in first gear. mine is tough to keep traction in 2nd makes me want AWD

in park the car switches the idle switch on. you prob have a bad sensor or leak around your throttle body, or a vacuum or boost leak in the system. check all the vac lines and make sure none are blown off anywhere

I live in Northern mn and just about every station here has E85. But the highest octane pump around here is 91 so most run corn up here

you get what you pay for with tires. get some good performance all seasons. Do some research and get the correct speed rating for how you'll be driving.

if your plugs and wires are good and your new injector seals are seated and not leaking, then id do a compression test. No point trying to chase an issue if your not sure if it has good compression

if you have the blue wire in the pic as your power wire then the gauge of wire is not your issue. its gotta be grounding out somewhere

320 on a gst

I have a big 16g and its great but falls flat on its face above 6k. but I get full boost (tuned @ 22 psi) before 3k rpms makes for a really fun in town beater. quick spool w lots of tire shredding action

how much do they charge? why not get a big 16g? that would get u close to your horsepower goals

I run mine between 6300 and 7000 just about everytime I stop. that's why I bought this car to have fun driving it. I have a big 16g at 22psi my setup runs out of juice before 7k or I'd run it there every time. I run it right to the rev limiter when doing burnouts

do you have link I put inserts front and back and full side mounts in my gst and it shakes like a bi*** at idle.

what gauge power wire did u run? maybe you have broken insulation on the wire someone allowing it to ground out and get hot.

If you suspect its the charging system go to your local auto parts store they can test it for free in the parking lot

I have had really good luck with STM. ive gotten a lot of misc parts from them. Great customer service and fast shipping. I have used extremepsi they are good as well

You can order a BISS screw and o ring for like 10 bucks or less and eliminate that problem area anyways

I built my BLT from the local hardware store and started going crazy finding all the leaks. find someone that has a larger compressor, away from a busy highway, then you can charge your system without having the compressor running. makes it much easier to hear the air pissing out. my car would...

I had the same issue on my 2g did the stat put in a 16psi rad cap still nothing bought a dual core with slim fans and full shroud still ran hot... I had air in my system in the end I had to bleed it out for almost a whole day. jack the front end way up in the air and get a coolant bleeder

did you boost leak test it?

i'd replace it personally. wont be too hard to do put a binch of zip ties on the cam gears and some vice grips to hold it in time the pull

I messed around with my 2g for a couple weeks I bought it not running and I had some corrosion on my black box ecu I carefully cleaned it w a tooth brush and cfc cleaner problem solved for me

Just take your time prepping and buy extra panel clips and you'll be golden
