TOB and fork are in working condition i could not get a measure on input shaft endplay with dial indicator it wouldn’t really move in or out

well i just might switch back to rubber bushings, it does feel a bit hard and i’ll rebuild my shifter base instead as there is a bit of play. i appreciate the insight Kurt. You might be hearing from me since you’re just a drive away if I can’t set preloads correctly

i’m wondering if this was due to my newly added aluminum solid bushings at the shift linkage on transmission side… although the car does see some pretty heavy abuse

i’ll check the end play on things while i’m there, might even just replace bearings/races if it not within spec, just worried about finding the proper shims otherwise i’ve seen you can make your own

Just an update, ended up pulling the head and sending it to Opel automotive engineering machine shop. Turns out valve and valve spring geometry was way off & there 8 missing 8 valve seat springs 😳 (previous machine shop did that we they damaged the area installing valve guides) Ultimately ended...

Thank you I just checked kigglys website and they show what the pressure should be at install height specifications I was not too sure that was the install height I thought it was universal thing for 4g63s

Double check starter ground and connection at the starter. But I had same issue, starter passed bench test at orieleys, ended up trying new starter and she fired right up everytime! GOODLUCK keep us updated

So far I have is spring tip height. Intake spec is 1.937" and exhaust is 1.910", be within 0.010

I’ve got fp3 with cut valve seats. It’s fine at 25psi till 8,000 rpm. If I run more boost it’ll drop down “limiter” and hit almost like a backfire and it’ll seemingly “drop” a cylinder “misfire” for a few seconds and eventually clear up. I’ve exhausted all other possibilities.

Hey guys I’ve noticed recently after pumping gas (e85) the car will sputter badly and Wideband will show lean after trying to drive off from gas station. Doesn’t happen all the time but sometimes. Will clear up after a few attempts. Could it be bad e85 or something else?
