  4. 2nd gen t-case on 1st gen?

How can you tell if a 2g t-case is from 95-96 or a 97-99 car? Is there an easy way to ID it?
  5. Where did everyone get their Volks?

    Machiii.net and Importhookup.com have the best prices I've seen.Mario
  6. vote on rims

Here's mine for sale too. :)http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=66456Mario
  7. Anyone Buy C2's from WheelMax?

There is only one RH C2 rim available and it is the 1 pc. C2 EVO. The older C2's that were 3 pc. rims are now discontinued so there is nothing to worry about man. You may want to check locally though and see if they will match the price.Mario
  8. Antenna Removal [Merged 5-8] removing shaving shaved remove

Autoloc is suppose to sell a nice internal antenna.Mario
  9. 1997 Eclipse GSX; My wish list (please help)

Forget about the HKS Hiper exhaust for a GST since the piping is only 65mm, get a A`PEXi N1 or a Tanabe Racing Medalion. Also to be honest the only thing I agree with on your list is the FP Green... You need to do some more research.Mario
  10. how can i upgrade a 14 to a 16g??

You also need to have the comp. housing machined for clearance. Your better off selling your 14b and buying a used 16g.Mario
  11. Rebuild time 4G63 or 4G64

A properly built 6 bolt g64b will rev to 8500 no problem. I would advise against just putting the 64 crank in a 63 block though if your going to do it do it right and just rebuild a 6 bolt g64b shortblock.Mario
  12. what do you think about this or is it too much

I think the Z3 fenders will be too much I'd just pick up some fiberglass fenders from Magnus M.S. if yours need to be replaced. Have you seen the new Buddy Club 2 kit?Mario
  13. spyder rear speakers

They are 6x9's but if you buy aftermarket 6x9's you will have to make some minor modifications to get them to fit due to the bigger magnet etc.Mario
  14. a thought on an AWD spyder

If it was cheaper to convert a GSX to a Spyder somebody would have done it by now... ya think  I would guess there is atleast 5 AWD Spyder's in the USA and all of them were originally GST Spyder's.Mario
  15. a thought on an AWD spyder

Doing it that way has been talked about but it's alot more work, your better off just buying a 2g AWD parts car. Mario
  16. Blitz Body Kit Installation

The blitz kits are played out but not on the Spyder's come on... You know what's really played out though... stock bumpered Spyder's :pMario
  17. AWD conversion....Link??

mark blair wrote on 11-12-2002 07:00 AM:I'm just curious could you go into details? Like who you talked too and what would be performed for the $1200-$1500 etc.Mario
  18. holy crap these are expensive

I have them and they are really nice plus the fact that not everyone and their mother has them makes them even better. I paid $290 through a GB for the power ones which isn't really that bad. They required very little prep work to install and the quality is top notch compared to the other...
  19. AWD conversion

I guarantee you the cost was different for everyone that did the conversion so you really can't put a price on it. I myself bought a wrecked (in the front) 96 TSI AWD for $500 and sold the parts I didn't need. So not only did I get the parts I needed for free I profited off the car and got...
  20. ABS conversion

I've got most of the parts from my parts car if anyone is serious about doing the swap. PM me if your interested...Mario
  21. What's the best tranny to use?

The 1g trannies are stronger but if you want to use a 2g get the AWD tranny with a spool to replace the center diff so you can run it in FWD. You want the AWD tranny cause there are more mods available, check out TRE also. Oh and the motor is on the drivers side for 1g's and 2g's.Mario
  22. Best Tranny fluid

You could also try the BG syncroshift or Redline fluids.Mario
  23. Cheapest Place To Get SSG Flywheels

They also make a 16lb (stock is around 19lb) steel one for those interested in a SFI approved lightened flywheel that will not make launching harder or inconsistant compared to the ultra light flywheels.Mario
  24. Cheapest Place To Get SSG Flywheels

The only place I've found that carries them is Victory Performance at about $440 for a 2g AWD. Anybody know where to get one cheaper?Mario
  25. AWD/FWD Flywheel

Whats the difference between the two?Mario
  26. turbo????

Since when does a Big28 carry you farther in the topend then a big16g, the main difference I was aware of was spool time and it is NOT unheard of that slower spool time helps a FWD get off the line... right? :rolleyes:Mario
  27. Fuel system upgrades

A Supra pump will work but it won't "plug-in" and neither will a Walbro 255 you have to wire them up but it's easy just follow the vfaq. Go here for the Supra pump just scroll down you can't miss it- http://www.partznet.com/mitsudsmclub.html As for the FPR i'm not sure of a good bolt-on made...
  28. turbo????

Since your car is FWD i'd recommend a Big 16g since it spools a little slower then a Big28 and will allow you to get out of the hole easier.Mario
  29. Temporary turbo to N/A conversion?

Why don't you just connect the oil and coolent lines together, remove the turbine wheel and just run it like that. No oil mess, no boosting, and no extra money spent except on fluid changes.Mario
  30. hRc 20g-->possible 11's??

Just wondering BrnOutKing... Does your turbo stay spooled between shifts?Mario
  31. i bought a new turbo..

I think you made a good choice on the turbo but def keep the 6 bolt, crowers, and ross pistons. I bet you will install them sooner then you think since that turbo can make more power then your stock bottom can handle and you'll get greedy for power who doesn't :D just my .02Mario
  32. AWD conversion for 97 GST spyder

Well I guess it depends on how you drive the car, if you have a 600hp AWD Spyder and drive it like a MADMAN all the time and do dumb $hit I guess it's possible but if you put in a nice rollbar, strut tower braces, sways etc. I think the chassis would be pretty solid... certainly enough for a...
  33. Flywheels

Clutchmasters also makes a nice flywheel.Mario
  34. i bought a new turbo..

    Bye Bye "STOCK MOTOR" :eek:Mario
  35. usable 1g parts in a 2g...

If a motor swap is over your head some nice bolt-ons would be the CAS, 14b, TB, BOV, and intake manifold etc.Mario
  36. Blow off valve

They all cost about the same so just get one you like the best, i'd suggest a TXS RFL, Tial, or an HKS if you want to vent to the atmosphere, but if you want to plumb it back into the intake go with the HKS with the recirc. kit.Mario
  37. HKS vs Apexi

The HKS also has smaller piping, just get the N1!Mario
  38. ic/exhaust reco

Actually no exhaust is better on a big turbo car! :pMario
  39. APC Intake

You can buy just the adapter from Extreme for like $30 I think, just measure your filter first to make sure it will fit on the Extreme adapter.Mario
  40. hRc 20g-->possible 11's??

His car is fwd and I believe he did that on street tires didn't he which is a decent time. A properly tuned AWD should have no problems running 11's with a s20g.Mario
  41. AWD conversion for 97 GST spyder

Steal a GSX and start stripping :D J/K!!! It's alot of time and money bro start saving, buy a '95 GSX and take off all the parts you need then put your FWD parts on it and sell it as a GST thats prob the cheapest way but takes the most time.Mario
  42. quiet exhaust

The old school HKS Turbo exhaust is prob the quietest followed by the Greddy SP, they are both 60mm which is about 2 3/8 inch. Next get a 2.5" HF cat, 2.5" DP, 2.5" tubular O2 housing, and then a ported EVO exhaust manifold to finish off the exhaust. Hope this helps,Mario
  43. mk111 intercooler

He's talking about the MKIII intercooler Larry not the MKIV :p and from what i've heard the MKIII is junk so don't waste your money on it just save up and buy a nice FM.Mario
  44. guys need your help!

Yeah like I said before I wasn't sure if the turbo injectors would fit so in that case just buy the RC 550's man with the SAFC.Mario
  45. guys need your help!

To put it in really basic terms- if a stock 210hp dsm can run them I don't see why not and like we said look into buying a SAFC to make it run better. I'm assuming your car makes atleast 200hp right?Mario
  46. Tires...Federal SS 595?

    YOU DAREDEVIL YOU :D
  47. indy race core aluminum radiator

Hey KenTSIII you should get your website updated cause i'm sure there is alot more stuff you sell that is not on your site right now especially for us 2g drivers. :confused:Mario
  48. Tires...Federal SS 595?

Yeah I saw a ad in Super Street for them but it said they have a VERY stiff sidewall and thats not to good for traction, just cornering.Mario
  49. guys need your help!

I don't think his stock bottom 420a with the stage 2 Star kit is pushing over 300hp, come on now... If they fit 450's are cheap and will get the job done. Aren't stock NT injectors like 190cc? 450cc seems plenty!Mario
