I have a t25 turbo but I have a 255 Walbo fuel pump, a tune, front mount pretty much all the supporting modes I think. Doesn't the 16g just bolt right up anyway.
Oh ok I gotcha. I believe the guy that I bought it from said it had two setting or something like that. He said 15 and 21 but when I got the car is was boosting 15psi.. So in other words I need to buy another turbo actuator? Will one from ebay work?
Well I was installing a manuel boost controller from ebay and I broke the little piece that you place the hose on. It's located on the turbo actuator. Im boosting so high now i'm actually afraid to get on it. It reaches 25 pounds and levels to 20 psi. Now when I get off the gas it hits super...
While idling it bounces from 14.8 to 15.3. I'll have to build a BLT and check. Thanks for the kids BTW. Oh one question, what can happen if I don't fix the problem?
My mods consist of 560 injectors, 255 walbro fuel pump, 3" full exhaust, port polished top end, I think evo 8 beehive springs and valves haven't checked, ingen intake, boost guage, aem wideband, oil pressure gauge, greddy blow off valve, front mount intercooler, felpro gaskets, boost controller...
Ah I see. Do you like the 16g better? Im still working with the t25. I can probably just bolt a 16g right up without having to tune right? I don't have a DSM link yet.
I was thinking about that, but I love my spyder so I was thinking of converting it with gsx parts. I think it should bolt right up. Maybe a tweak here or there. I'm not too sure haha
Honestly I'm not sure. If PAC doesn't knock him out within the first five rounds than Floyd has it. He's too good of a defensive fighter. I kind of want PAC to win lol
Oh ok
oh ok well that makes sense. Well my AEM guage is reading just idling 15.3 to 15 sometimes to 14.9 constantly moving. When driving especially spirited driving its all over the place from 13 to 15. I've even seen as low as 10 and as high as 16.9. So out of the idle air clamp or speed...
Why do we need it to recirculate back into the intake? But I believe that's what makes it cut off sometimes. Doesn't happen often. When I shift after the pressure has built up and the blow off valve went off it did it.
Update guys. Exhaust and boost leak fixed. I took the manual boost control off it was rusted. Ordered a boost controller off of eBay for 13 bucks lol It pulls so hard now. Still boosting 15 pounds on the t25. Which I thought I had the 16g but I was mislead when I bought the car smh. Took the...
Yes cash in hand does work magic. The guy I got mine from wanted 4000 I offered 3000. He accepted and once I got there I got it for 2500. So cash in hand trumps all.
I purchased my 98 spyder gst off of Craigslist. My advice to you would be to be patient. If the guy doesn't reply he's either not interested or sold it already. Sometimes people sell things online and don't take down the ad. It's pretty common actually. I know your anxious, but don't over step...
Hey on the attached file is what is done to the car. A guy at advanced auto parts said I should be close if not dead on to 300 HP. once I bought the car I was doing maintenance stuff which I am doing now still. I guess I'm just wondering what you guys think. The cams should be the next step right?
I just bought an 98 spyder. The guy says its a full Greddy exhaust. Sounds really good. not ricey at all. I was wondering if it truly is a full Greddy exhaust is it a good one to have? I think it's either a 3" or 2.5".
I asked this because like you said all cars are different. So I may know how to drive stick and have a feel for the car but that's that. To maximize the car's performance I wanted to know what the recommended shift point would be while street racing. I guess the question was a little off.
Yep I have boost leaks all before the turbo. A couple of bolts are missing and stuff. Who ever had this vehicle before me either didn't know what they were doing or just didn't care. I can't say much I'm still a noob at this but I'm just saying lol
Ha I think I may have a blown head gasket. It overheated so I replaced the radiator cap because the gasket in the other one was shot. So now the radiator hose gets fat and hard which I believe indicates a issue with the head gasket right? This could be why the turbo spools after 5000 rpm right...
I have the big 16 turbo and it seems to not spool up until sometime after 5000. I'm not exactly sure when. Haven't driven it that much, but you say around 6500 is fine Or since I have the bigger turbo should I shift around 7000. I am running 15 psiwould having 189,000 miles be to dangerous...
I'm new to having a turbo car. I was trying to figure out what the shift points would be. Do I shift right before red line and is this OK to do in first gear as well?
Hey I'm looking to do the same thing. I have 98 spyder gst with a big 16g turbo, apr studs, 560 cc injectors, full greddy exhaust, felpro gaskets, 255 fuel pump and some More things I can't remember off the top of my head.
