Oh damn that sucks! Did u get any clean runs at least? I ran a 13.009.. I haven't been able to upload any photos tho.. I guess the image is too large??
Yeah I did the wiring my self when I got to his place.. And for my luck my car started having issues right after we left his house.. Dead misfire on cylinder #2 & #3..we went back and started checking it out.. Had no spark on those two cylinders.. We had a new set of spark plugs in there.. So...
Cool thanks!so I got a hold of Ted and drove my car up there Friday night.. He got it all dialed in.. I'm boosting around 19.5psi on my high boost setting and 11psi on the low side.. I'm happy with the results. He did a good job.. he recommend to switch over to e85 so I can turn up my boost.. So...
I will look into wiring it to link and get it done soon...I'm running my stock maf, on pump gas.. I'm only running a 16G and my goal is to boost around 20psi for now.. Will look into different turbo set up down the road and switching over to SD for sure...
haven't heard of Hein but I will definitely hit him up on Facebook, I've contacted Ted and he told me to take check a few things before I go out there, I fixed all my boost leaks, recirculated my BOV, changed spark plugs, changed Spark plug wires, I don't have my wideband hooked up to link yet...
I had a similar problem on my 2G, ended up being one of the spark plug cables going bad.. It would only do it under a load/boost.. Just thot I'd mention that.. Hope its nothing too serious..
Hey who do you guys usually take your cars for tunning here in sacramento? Or do you guys know of anyone? I just recently got DSMlink and injectors just don't have too much time to dial it all in.. Got my idle and cruise close but I don't have much experience on DSM link..
Really didn't even realize that.. The ones on my 1G 4G64 block must of already been drilled out because all the holes lined up to the head and looked like the 2g block holes. .
I would just double check my timing and make sure everything lines up.. You already did your compression and leak down test so if you dont find anything with the timing then you got ring problems or glazed cylinder walls.. What's size injectors are u running? A washed out cylinder will also...
That's a pretty reasonable percentage for a leak.. Not necessarily more oil consumption but definitely more blow-by.. Have you notice a loss in power? How much boost are you running?
I'm running a 1G 4G64 block with 2G head.. Using 8.5:1 wiseco pistons with 1G rods.. 1G ARP head studs and cometic head gasket.. All the holes lined up .. Just had to make cylinder head bolt holes on the 2G head bigger to fit.. And a lot of other stuff that had to be modified..
Man that sucks about your car, especially after all that work, a leak down test will definitely help you determine where the compression is going.. If it was a reputable shop that did the build hopefully the cleaned the cylinders properly and checked ring end gaps.. Also if they didn't seat the...
