i tried using the hose from the original intake and all that space made the wastegate get in the way

bought a turbo intake from dsmparts.com for my automatic tsi awd which im sure is a 14b (it says tdo5h not tdo4) but the turbo inlet is too small and the intake is too big to fit around it.what should i do?
