you adding to the collection or thinking about replacing? nice to hear someone with some nissan background like myself :) although, I'm more into S chassis but alot of research has been done to that VE motor thanks to B series guys which i'm looking into for my s14
Well I haven't had a DSM for long but honestly all I hear so far is how a DSM and Daily Driver do not go in the same sentence. It's not so much that it's a bad motor by far but it requires a lot of maintenance if I understand correctly. Especially coming from a uber reliable civic that you may...
welcome! you will find you can do TONS and break stuff a lot easier here too! lol, definitely take the time to read up on every thing and most common starter mods I think would be the 12v fuel pump relay mod and check into if your timing belt was changed yet
There are tons of awesome colors. GC47 is rightous. that new copper is legit too. flex blue is strong too. man o man, wish i had your problem to decide ;p
I've seen ortiz a lot but have no experience with their product either. looks legit and they have a bunch of options! may use them in the future myself
I've seen youtube video's where plasti dip came off rubber tires just fine, hmm. There are other advantages to dip than just primering a car. First, primer isn't meant to face elements. Water will leave spots. heat will make it rub on all your clothes. etc etc. Plasti dip will actually protect...
I've seen a stubby type, doesn't look too bad IMO, I'd prefer a delete and add a good powered antenna either in the inside windshield or rear hatch hiding the wires to your stereo.
Great, now lets get about a million more of you on board ;)hey, are you on some DSM facebook groups? I swear I've seen you before (and no, not a cheezy pickup line, i'm happily married!! hahahha)
loud is not necessarily good my friend. That and the fact that turbo cars aren't as loud as N/A is going to pose a challenge. Open waste gate tube might be something to look into? That or an electronic cut out?
So I thought I'd come back with a progress report. So turns out that both ecu's I had were bad. The repairs done locally were not done 100% and the ECU i purchased from a local guy named Cody had more problems than a cub scout at never land ranch. He wouldn't give me a refund, exchange or trade...
@ceedawg , That might honestly be the best way to go I guess. At least I will get a definitive answer on both ECU since I cannot find anyone around here willing to help. Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm going too continue my search for someone to to help or a third ecu. Just a quick FYI, I have now back codes 13,14,21,25 lol. This is insane :ohdamn:
UPDATE!ok, so I'm still battling this thing, LOL. Here's where I am at now.So I had the ECU cleaned and leaking caps replaced with the proper specs. I took it to a local electronic repair shop that came highly rated and well liked on yelp. The repair person said he saw no damage to the board...
My car came with the privacy guard and It's installed. The rear clips are there and the front is held up by string to the hatch. Was there another set up of clips for the front? Wouldn't it just operate with the tethered string?
Thanks for the replies everyone, finally got some time to put more time to it. @pauleyman and @yamaripper415 , I've reset the codes like 2-3 times over the course of fixing wiring and other things. The codes just keep coming back. So I've tested the wiring and everything seems to be be getting...
So I will despair from explaining my WHOLE background and save it for my intro post. For the time being, I am hoping that I can get some help/advice that I'm having with my recent purchase. So I took a gamble and purchased a non running 1994 Eclipse GSX . We started with the fuel pump as we...
