Hey, I have what I hope is a stupid question. I am doing an auto swap and changing out all the motor mounts. The rubber on the front and rear mounts are cracked. After taking them out I noticed that the bolts going through the mounts are sloppy, more than I would expect. So, my question is...
Its going to be a weekend warrior I guess. I have seen some of the maps. I plan on doing a paddle shift, eco/sport mode - the soft shift (I think that might be the eco mode), and what I am really excited about is the staging setting. I am also putting the gear indicator in the dash. I'll...
I am getting ready to install my shift box, but want to make sure everything is correct. My car is a 90, so there is always something screwy. I think I have the wires that go inside figured out.- the two red wires are 12 + ECU pin 110
- black wire is ground ECU pin 106
- orange/yellow wire...
I am doing an auto swap on my 90 awd. I feel like I have got different information at different places concerning what I need. I was hoping to settle it for myself. Do I need an awd intermediate shaft from an auto?
Ok, I feel kind of dumb for asking this, but does the coolant overflow can need to be vented? The reason I ask is mine is not. It has a hose to the tstat housing and an o ring sealed screw on lid ...it also does this if it get too hot ... I'll open it, add coolant, and it'll do it again in...
Well, I think it was copper anti seize. I must of put too much on. When I took of the sensor I could see how it must of melted and ran right into the hole of the sensor. I did end up putting an bosch in anyway. Works fine now!
I am starting to suspect it might be a wiring thing... my other innovate gauge started acting up a few days later. The oil temp jumps around like the AFRs... UGH!!!! Why cant anything be easy!
I have an Innovate MTX-L Plus gauge and my AFR started going pretty crazy a couple days ago. I figured it was time to replace my wideband. It is not that old at all, but I have it in the stock forward location. I ordered a cheaper one off of amazon...
Hey everyone. I would like to install an electronic boost control to my 1990 TSI. The problem is when I originally went through my car I did a bunch of clean up on the wiring harness and moved some stuff around. At that time I was not planning on running an electronic boost controller, so I...
That's it before installed it.Yep, my TB is a 91 turbo throttle body. I must of deleted the picture, but without the spacer I made, the throttle cable side of the opening was not covered. I made a 3/16 spacer to cover the gap.
Thread tape baby! No more leaking bolts. I got it up above 25 psi. I then blew off the tester. I do have bubbles coming from the adjustment screw on my fuel pressure regulator. Is that normal?
I did check the coils they tested good.Did you have to make an adapter to mount your stock throttle body? The bolt pattern was the same, but I had to make a piece to cover up the larger opening. I have replaced the gaskets like 2 times . Gonna go broke paying shipping on gaskets! I have...
I guess I should have explained more. I have replaced the isc motor with the new black one (and double checked the coils) rebuilt the throttle body with new seals, have a FIAV bypass plate on, the biss doesn't leak (though I'm having trouble getting this set right following the online...
Hey, I installed a JMF street manifold and some kelford 272s as well as set of feal coilovers on my car. I had a guys come do a idle tune for me and we are having a horrible time. We got it good enough to get the car to run, but the idle is all over. I had a few things to fix with the...
Thanks, it looks like his are the same as mine. So they aren't meant to move over the shoulder. We'll, if that is what people are doing, I should be ok.
I have a set of the feal coilovers. My question is how they attach the the swing arm. My swing arm mount has a shoulder on it. So it steps up to a thicker diameter when it's closer to the arm. The FEALs don't have that in their shock. Is this normal? I just contacted feal and we'll see...
It was the MAP!!! something must of gotten loose. I wiggled the wires and it would go from good to bad. I took it off and looked everything over. I was curious because I spliced in the Mitsu 4 bar from the link SD cable set, but everything looked good. I put it back on and had the car...
I just got back from a 2 month deployment and was excited to drive my car. I was even more excited when it fired right up! I was less excited when it died after a few miles. The car was tuned on e85 before I left. I filled up the tank completely before I left too. I was driving fine then...
It's fixed!!! I had to take the pedal assembly out again. I put a bushing in the hole on the clutch assembly where the clutch master clevis attaches. When I had it out before I must not a put the bushing back in. The hole was a 12 mm and the pin was a 10. Fixing that made a huge difference...
I have the pedal assembly out now. I replaced the bushing and had it welded before. I did find one problem. I must not of put the bushing back in where the clevis attaches. so I have a bunch of slack there. So, now i'm looking for a 10mm id x 12mm od bushing for that. I have heard about...
Good deal! thanks for the reply. I guess i'm just confused about how to adjust the clutch. I don't want to start another huge clutch adjustment procedure, but I guess I don't understand how turning the rod effects the master in any way. I seems like all it is doing is changing the pedal...
Hey, I hate to be this guy, but this 1g clutch has me screaming. The transmission is newly rebuilt from jacks. New clutch. I replaced the slave and the master with new oem, and put a speed bleeder in. I had someone come over and help me adjust it. I was able to drive it around, but it only...
