Hey Guys, I'm in the process of rebuilding the transfer case and I cant find anything on this bearing sleeve. Hopefully one of the bros can point me in the right direction for this.
Has anyone done this? I have a buddy that works for a machine shop, so figured this wouldn't be to bad of an idea rather then getting the stubby for $70.
No info anywhere on this, that I could find. Just curious, I know the rod comes out to a certain length, just don't know if they can be interchanged. Thanks

Just got my block back from the machine shop, ive got surface rust on all cylinders and the deck of the block.. figured if you would be paying 1500 for machine work it would come back looking like gold but.. first block ive sent to a machine shop, & 1st build. Hope this doesnt slow me down...
I just opened up my oil pump to inspect for any signs of marks inbended. I then noticed it has the worm gears thats in the 7bolt case. I know this is a 1g oil case due to the bottom of it being completely flat.

I had a thought about removing the ac unit that's under the dash but then I thought, what if I turned that unit into a way for heat to escape externally. So when I turn on the heat it sucks the air from the bay and vents it outside.
The cars been sitting since December it's a 95 gsx. Working on relocating the fuse box to the glove box, or just inside because I doubt I'll put my dashboard back in. (Off topic) do I need a dashboard to pass inspection?

Hey I just wanted to clarify something my machine shop suggested to me.
He said my block is std bore & that I should go .20 over since my goal is to run high boost. Approx 30psi max for the build.
Should I stay std and order std sized forged pistons or go .20 over? Thanks

Just picked up a kiggly girdle and some arp main studs. Had a question, do I bolt the oil strainer on top of the girdle and torque it to spec? & should I torque it down with the strainer when I take it to the machine shop to get the mains aligned honed
I bought a 6bolt and couple of weeks ago for 400, took it all apart, stock bore & walls are good.
I noticed I can move the crank left to right slightly when I push on it. It makes a noise, this is bad isn't it? How would this be fixable? This is my first engine rebuild.

Doing work on my new gsx, running into all types of problems from the po, missing dowel pin, half broken starter cover, the list goes on but now I seemed to fine that the U bolt has been snapped off into the block of the engine. Any ideas on how to get this bolt out?

When I start my car and let it idel in neutral its good, around 900rpm. I had to adjust the linkage for the idle because the car wouldnt stay running without shutting off. With that the car idles fine when in neutral but when I start driving the rpms creep all the way up to 2,000-3,000rpms...

My radiator fans never turn on and I always over heat. So I woke up yesterday and found some speaker wires an hooked the fan straight to the battery. Is this safe? What bad could happen? Or whats the right way I can set it up where I can switch the fans on & off manually.
