I'm getting 1.268" ID on one end, the other end 1.265".
The OD I'm getting 1.461".
Length I'm getting 2.314".
It looks worn in some spots more than others. Not sure how much play there should be, I could always take a video and post it for a visual.
Hey Guys, I'm in the process of rebuilding the transfer case and I cant find anything on this bearing sleeve. Hopefully one of the bros can point me in the right direction for this.
Bolt holes wouldn't be so much of a problem for me but I didn't even look, it was late and an idea popped in my head an slapped it on. Ill look more into it and see if I can get this to work if not eh still fun. What I'm more concerned about are the baffles on the underside and how that'll have...
It does fit, I tried last night for the hell of it and if you rotate it 180 it fits, but the oil cap is on the lower and etc.
Not sure if the baffles matter, but I'm sure pretty sure it plays an important roll.
Right or wrong I just wanted to know the differences in the hydraulic rod length. If it would be interchangeable, Couldn't find anything on this topic so figured I'd ask the guru's. I have a spare evo tensioner thats why I bother. Just want to please my curiosity :D Thanks.
Has anyone done this? I have a buddy that works for a machine shop, so figured this wouldn't be to bad of an idea rather then getting the stubby for $70.
No info anywhere on this, that I could find. Just curious, I know the rod comes out to a certain length, just don't know if they can be interchanged. Thanks

I've asked him numerous times, he doesn't have a way to measure it I guess.. he just says "It's OK"
If I have him re-weld and resurface I should be okay right?
& What does lap the block mean?
He said bring the head to him. But I'm still unsatisfied with how they surfaced my block. The resurface they did on my head is smoother than how it turnt out on the block. I can feel grooves with my nail. He keeps telling me its "OK" to run a MLS with this finish, but deep down I don't think so?
I wanted to go HKS, might return the cometic mls I just bought. I just dont want to spend that amount and have it fail with a one time use type of thing lol
The surfaces are pretty smooth? Nothing catches my nail?
Mainly want input about the pit welding with small pits in it.. Its right on the edge of the outer diameter of the gasket seal area
I told them I plan on running MLS and they said "You'll be good" he couldn't give me a RA sadly..
I ordered a MLS, anyway for me to tell if a MLS is a mistake? Is there a chart for visual RA? Something close I mean
Hey I just got my head back from the machine shop when they went to resurface the head it had a low spot and they welded it in and resurfaced it again. Looks like their welds have low spots too.. Amazing. What do you guys think?! I'm moments away from calling them an letting them know this isn't...

I rotated the crank and now I have a big line going down the cylinder wall.. I can barely feel it with the nail test, coworker of mine said the same thing.. im extremely dissapointed.. I soaked them in pb blaster and wiped with micro fibre rag before this happened but I guess the rings caught...
Just got my block back from the machine shop, ive got surface rust on all cylinders and the deck of the block.. figured if you would be paying 1500 for machine work it would come back looking like gold but.. first block ive sent to a machine shop, & 1st build. Hope this doesnt slow me down...
Thank you guys for the info, soon ill become a walking book
From my research helical gears have more of a thrust load and causes a quicker oil pump failure. Id like to post some pics of my case and see what you guys think, re-use it and buy straight cut gears, & drop em in or buy a whole new...
I just opened up my oil pump to inspect for any signs of marks inbended. I then noticed it has the worm gears thats in the 7bolt case. I know this is a 1g oil case due to the bottom of it being completely flat.
Is this fine? It does have a few marks and i can feel em with my nail, i can upload...
