    Motor flexing

Prothane is a pretty good way to go as far as inserts, I have used them on my 240, stiffens everything up pretty good for stock application, or you could just order the front and rear roll stops from a local parts store like mentioned above.

    Motor flexing

EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance PartsMaybe something like these? I got a friend that's got these on his 500hp 2g and it holds just fine. The only problem I ever had with mine was at idle it would vibrate more than usual, but you get used to it and realize that it's just...

    Motor flexing

I'm with the guy that mentioned your roll stops. Maybe at some point in the swap they didn't connect that stop which could be why it's able to pull back so hard. Regardless, if you got the money why not through some solid mounts in there and keep things where they are supposed to be

    Newbie intro and WTB car

Thanks guys, glad to know there's still a few people that back up the military. The trans or motor wouldn't matter, I have plenty laying around but I was just trying to make the point that if anything could be wrong with it I would prefer it be mechanical to minor exterior damage rather than the...

Need help fast, cut brake lines!!!!!

I would personally find out the size of the tube used for the brake line and get a swage and a swage kit and just do the repair right there with that. We use that on helicopters that operate at 3000+ psi and have no problems. Shi**y thing is your local parts store may not have the kit (nor loan...

4000 Is steep for a salvaged title. And as far as traveling I would be okay with going to SC or VA to get one if it was dependable and ran to where I could bring it back to NC or possibly trailer it. But sorry, 4k is kinda steep for what I'm looking for. I'm trying to find something blown motor...

    Turbo opinion.

I'd ditch that thing and go for a 50 trim. :) But then again, that's just me.

    I need help clutch issue

Is it hard getting into gear from inside the gear box (really stiff to move the shifter) or is it difficult getting the pedal to fully disengage the clutch? I've had difficulty getting the clutch to disengage with certain clutches on the pedal side, the extended rod usually helped a lot. The...

The crappy part is that the guys around here know that DSMs have a good reputation therefore, they think every single one is worth a million bucks. The funniest one I've seen was a 90 gsx, no motor, tranny, or harness, body was severely rusted and the guy was asking like 3500... There's more and...

    J Pipe Doesn't Fit????

I would use a slightly larger drill bit and over size the holes a little bit and put a washer under the hardware, or like a few said before, elongate the holes until your hardware lines up. It's a simple fix, and shouldn't take very long.

want to addd a 16g turbo

You can find many posts about what people suggest you'll need to run the 16g. The best thing is to know what you expect your car to do after you replace the turbo. Honestly I wouldn't add the turbo until I had a better fuel set up and a way to monitor what it's doing and something to tune for...

    J Pipe Doesn't Fit????

Says he's using the extreme psi 16g j-pipe. I doubt it's the j-pipe, but he does have a point, you could get away with elongating the holes on the j-pipe in the direction you need for the bolts to line up. I don't know where your turbo is from, but t does have the 'brand new' shine. Any idea...

Would removing the head shield around the exhaust manifold damage anything?

Research has shown that taking something that small off has no increase in speed at all. IMO if you want to reduce weight for speed (which I assume is why you're taking this stuff off) I wouldn't sacrifice anything from the engine bay. Spiders are relatively heavy to begin with so I would start...

Head gasket Repair - How to clean the block deck with the pistons installed.

Good how too for composite gasket removal. Will have to remember this method the next time vs removing the pistons

Thanks. Hopefully theres something in the classifieds that's up my alley. I'm just sick of seeing local websites trying to sell some real heaps of garbage on craigslist for like 3500 when its actually only worth like 1000 at the most.

    ebay suspension parts

I have seen where some people (local sellers) have found part numbers for brand name parts and put the part numbers on their parts list but when you look at the product you can tell it's cheap ebay material. Not saying that's the case here, but it is possible that the seller has included the...

What's up guys? My name is Dylan. This isn't my first time here but I can't remember the email I used for the last account I had and its been over three years so might as well start over again. I live in Eastern NC (Jacksonville) to be specific, my first car was a 1g N/A that I turned turbo...
