so I decided to upgrade a bit so I went and got a walbro 255, a turbosmart dual stage manual boost controller, a aftermarket boost gauge, a innovate wideband, evo 8 560cc injectors, a evo 3 16g that im rebuilding first, and dsmlink and eprom ecu. anything else you guys recommend. the car is...
I don't know forsure if it's overheating or not really cause my temp gauge (stock one) is fluctuating and ya it's real light white smoke and the car just got a new head gasket 30k ago
Ya I tried taking it outta the tranny and putting on the motor and it spins fine. When the bolts are turned out like one or 2 turns each just so there's a crack between the tranny and engine it's totally fine spins perfect I'm also in 3/4 of an inch from the mounting pad but nothing is wrong...
Flexplate is on right the bushing is just fine and and I put grease on the tq input shaft and in the bushing. Everything is back together the same way it came off and it worked fine then
What do you guys think about running 2 starter plates? Cause I talked to another guy and he had the same problem and he did that and it fixed the problem
I have the dowels and the right flex plate I can't even see anything that would be grabbing it to make it not spinIf I back the bolts out just enough to fit another starter plate in there it spins just fine
It's about an inch in and how far in does that bushing go inI have the bushing in the right way and it still doesn't spin and its all the way inCan someone please help with a good answer?
I just got done doing a motor swap and re did my timing and now the engine makes a kinda clunking noise that sounds like nothing I've heard before I'll give more explanation if needed. I can't tell where it's coming from
There's grooves that it slides into so you know it's locked all the way in I just put it in and hooked up the engine with the torque converter boltsI backed out of the garage and then it wouldn't go anymore. Tranny worked perfectly fine before swap
No noises nothing just won't move when it's in gear just did an engine swap went to pull it out of my garage and it moved for Alittle but didn't make any weird noises tho
It turns Alittle bit but not much and I just took the plugs out and tried it same thing. why would it be hitting the valves now and not when I first hand cranked it before I put the engine in the car
I set my timing to my books standards and my engine turned over fine now I put it in the engine bay hook everything back up and I can't crank the engine over it just stops after a small crank? Any reason why it would be doing this
93 octane. And doesn't every car have a clutch in it??? Lol I'm kinda new to the whole cars scene but I did just do a motor swap on my car.Alittle research comes to tell me that Infact all cars do not have clutches hmmm would I need to build the trans at all or would it handle the 350hp to the...
I got newer timing belt and no balance shaft and arp head studs and a new head gasket and new gaskets on manifold, Im and that's it. But what's speed density? I'm just looking for like 300 at the wheels if I can even get there hahahI was also going to rewire the pump like you stated, what...
How do these supporting mods sound for adding a Evo 3 big 16g and what kinda hp you think I'd be looking at walbro 255 pump, 1000cc injectors, vrsf fmic, ECM link, wideband, boost gauge, punishment racing recirculating 2.5 in o2 housing, full Megan racing exhaust! Anything else you'd recommend?
Ok I figured it out I plugged something else into the trans and that's where the hose went instead I had a hose that went from the valve cover to the air filter tube thing
Ok one of the two runs to the tranny cause I cut the zip tie and found that out. They come up from underneath the coolant reserve tankIt's these to hoses they run right next to the radiator http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=167085&stc=1&d=1398557037
I have 2 hoses that come from the bottom off the right side of the radiator and I found ones spot but not the others. Also I'm missing the top one of the pipe that goes from the air filter to the turbo
