btw next time I think you have to pull the fuse so the engine is cranking not running when you go lock to lock --- cuz running is just too much flow for bubbleswhy dex5 instead of redline?
I think those holes look good but more importantly are functional and needed. Not needed with side mount but once you go front mount all the air gets hogged up by intercooler. I say keep the holes.

getting a lot of info from this thread so thanku, but seems like most of you run 3" exhaust... Im in Calif so i have to run a cat, but if I have 16G (evo3), and my IC pipes are 2.5" to a BFIC, do you think 2.5" exhaust pipes are sufficient? I plan on staying under 300hpwith small mods/fuel...
just got a 95 talon turbo that needs some help... I'm in Sacramento, and Grip Craft tel# disconn'd ... anyone know where else I can go? pay someone or shop etc? to start out i just need crank seal, but then will get into upgrades....
