So I welded a -10an drain onto my oil pan. I was wondering if it would be bad to weld a 10an nipple on the drain of the turbo? It would be tig welded. Or is there a fitting for it. I have the 2 bolt flange thing but I don't like it lol
Please do not run a 16g on a stock fuel system. A 16g at 7 psi makes more power and airflow that a t25 or a 14b at 7psi. If you plan on running a larger turbo. You first need a fuel system. A tune. Intercooler. Etc. Always do supporting mods first.
I've had a few cars do this. And oil seals on the turbo were gone. I've got a buddies car that does this because he has a balance shaft delete. And oil pressure is so high that it pushes past the turbo seals and pours oil into the Intake piping. But it could be anything. I'd suggest...
Core support replacement on these cars isn't as easy as it seems. You'd have to drill out all the spot welds. Clean. Prep. Straighten everything that's bent. And spot weld everything back together. $200 in labor is awesome.
