I have the VRSF but its on a 2g. Shape wise it looks the same except mines the big one and my intake side comes in through the side of the ic not the back and my out comes out the back. Could just be the difference between 1g and 2g... who knows. Kinda hard to tell with no definate markings...

That sounds just like mine bro. Itll also do it if you feather the throttle in higher RPM's I wouldnt worry about it. It isnt surge. Ive heard it in alot of turbocharged engines.

I would recomend rethreading the holes or drilling them out and helicoiling them bc I had a bolt with a nut on mine when I baught it from the previous owner and all that did was waller out and ruin the holes they were in. So I had to heilcoil them to fix it. The nuts on the backside are a no go...

try posting a log on here, ill take a look at it, you can also find multiple lists of values on here to log, make sure you are logging those values, make sure you start with idle tuning, get your idle down before going to cruise and WOT tuning. post a log. idle.

i have an evo 3 mani and no heat shield, no issuses, alt is in the original location, not saying it cant happen but everything is fine with my set up. if your only reason is weight reduction I wouldn't worry about it though, the heat shield isn't a significantly heavy part, everyone else is...

I DO NOT have a stock throttle body. And I dont have a isc motor in the throttle body. So does that mean I dont need to worry about the isc position value.
