Hello, Im looking for some advice on dialing in the engine right. It has a high idle, which doesn't bother me too much, but it shuts off after being under boost when the loads removed. coast to a stop in neutral, stopping or in a slow turn.Ill attach an idle log
If you flush your system make sure to do it before you change the thermostat. If that stuff in there is block sealer you might open up a leak. other sensors I know of are on the water neck. temp to ecu the lower left facing car two prong. the cooling fan switch the upper one on the neck and the...
does it smell burn, kinda looks like dirt like the cover was left off. you can get a used ecu out of the classifieds or ebay. ive seen people lift the circuit on bread boards and solder wire in as jumpers. Im sure the capacitors could be match at radio shack. This is worst case scenario. might...
I had the same problem. Heres what I did might work for you. I used a cork gasket cleaned everything good with a wire brush on a drill, scotch bright and some brake cleaner. let the the car drain for a few days spraying the mounting surfaces with brake cleaner here and there. Use some black rtv...
sounds like your radiator cap to me. might want to check the water for any type of sealer, like what was said above could be a clog. Running straight water is the best for cooling, but the minerals in the water can cause oxidation in your cooling system, freeze in the colder months, and leave...
Have you fixed the problem yet? Mine is doing the same thing. ABS light, rear brakes sticking on the inside of the rotors... Im rebuilding the calipers now, but read somewhere that abs can cause brake failure or loss of constant bake pressure. Any input on this would be great
I had the engine rebuilt at a shop. I don't remember seeing that but who knows. The crank doesn't walk, and the engine has about 1hr on it. Not sure If I can get clear enough photos to so the rest of the cylinder. The piston appears to be undamaged and the block doesn't seem to have any damage...
I recently had a bottom end and head build through strickly import motors, and returned to TN pieced the engine together, my first dsm build, although Ive worked on aircraft for 10yrs give or tae a yr. after getting the engine read for a base tune, I searched every where for a tuner and could...
I was changing the oil pan rtv on a fresh rebuild, and noticed that the counter weights for the number 1 cylinder have damage to the forward tips. I cant see any damage done to the block but both tips of the number 1 counter weights have scaring. Anyone ever seen this in an engine before? Thanks

I recently put an engine in a car i got from a guy, and he had a 2g engine setup with a 1g cas. I installed a 2g engine and returned the injector pins to normal, installed a crankangle sensor and a cam angle sensor behind the cam, and plugged into the harness as factory. I went to start the car...
Ok, If i wanted to return the car to stock, can I get a 2g camshaft position sensor and wire it in the the existing connector in the harness, and return any pins to normal. Or can the car run using the crank sensor if i plug it into the crank side of the harness and the 1g cam into the other...
The cam sensor is located on the end of the cam and the wiring that coming form the cam sensor has two connections and one is triangle, and would fit the crank angle sensor. Is it ok to leave the other connector from the cas open if I use the female end for the crank angle sensor or will things...
Hello, I have a 2g engine installed and having issues with the wiring harness. As of right now Im confused on if the engine should have two plugs for the cam angle sensor and where the crank angle sensor should plug in. when I disassembled the old block it didnt have a crank angle sensor, but it...
