That’s an awesome thread I actually read it just after I posted this. I was going to post it for others I appreciate you adding the link. Defiantly makes a lot of sense so in theory I should have a lot more left in the car with a good pass.

Yes this was VIRGIN 7 bolt long...
I finally crushed my goal to get into the 12s with this car. Previous fastest time was 13.7@104mph on a small16g at 14psi. I went to the track Sunday hoping to get low 13s with the new set up. Car is on a New clutch (SBC SS-TZ)and welded center differential, along with a MHI Billet E316g @ 22psi...
They make a solar wing simular to a duck bill for a Civic.

Initial review of my SS-TZ currently have 30 miles on it.
The pedal feel is defiantly the softest I have used so far. It is all most OEM civic soft. Engagement is smooth. I am using an OEM flywheel with correct step height Media blasted. I will update after break in period. So far so good.
It's pretty normal to get more boost with a cold waste gate especially during winter. I would NOT be worried about 2psi increase. Also what's to say your prosport Evo is actually reading accurately? Like posted above it is also normal to have boost creep after installing a 3in down pipe. Which...
Chris Robbins on Facebook site Turbos R us. Has my old small16g in perfect shape he is selling it as a package with Jpipe and a few other accessories. I ran 13.7@104 mph at 14 psi could not raise the boost anymore due to a weak fuel pump. That turbo has easy 12s in it. Tell Him Josh sent you. He...
Yes you can re tap it. Go to your local AutoZone or harbor freight and get a Tap and Die set it will come with a tap-drill bit size sheet go 1 one size over the current bolt. And like stated above make sure it is rounded line the original bolt. AutoZone has a full kit for 30$ which will work...
Honestly, if the car is moderately stock, I would not be looking to install cams. Money at that point is better spent on tuning choice. Cranking the boost up and tuning for it. But to answer the OP no you do not need a link to run cams. But you will need to Degree them to benefit fully from...
Looks good, I would smooth out your VE table do a cruise log. As long as everything is within reason, Do a WOT pull in increments of 2k rpm until you are done. But defiantly Smooth the VE table before doing a WOT pull. You can select a few VE cells right click and use the interpolate feature...
Also interested phantom, do you have any pictures Non vs lsd cups to differentiat the 2?
Not meaning to thread jack, My BFB(non lsd) will Leave both Rear tire marks on a hard launch for a good 5-6foot patch. From what i have searched BFH is the manuel LSD code.
So my lowish mile stage 2 competition clutch is slipping after a hard launch. Clutch has less then 4k miles . I inspected the clutch less then 1k miles ago swapping long block and switching to a small 16g. Long story short i finially dialed in the tune e85 20 psi. 200ish miles since change. Did...
+1 on getting dsmlink early on. It will save alot of head ache with diagnoising any issues. it has helped me a ton. Plus once you start modding you will need a way to tune the car. I sold my first dsm 95 gsx because i didnt know what link was and bought the car with a 6bolt cyclone swap and it...
Just be patient and go AWD. AWD will be alot funner daily driven as street tires will still net you good traction. Ive had some NA hondas and traction sucked and daily driving them was fun at a roll but even with lsd and drag radials stop light to stop light was terrible. With my talon a street...
Bring'en it back from the dead dont want to start a new thread. I have been only able to squeeze a max of 11gal into my 95tsi awd With the E light on. Is there any difference in tank sizes ? Only reason i ask is i have 1/16 tank left light has not come on yet and Ino it works. My towns e85...
yupp... there is also the rag full of break cleaner method. if its working correctly it should read a rich condition of 10:1. Do this with the sensor removed and key ON car OFF if it still reads Lean you have a bad sensor. Autozone sells them you will need to do your own research to find part...
Will order the kit friday and do it asap. My car isnt seeing any milage other then some tuning for the new set up. Honestly by looking at the belt this wasnt a recent problem. So Worse case i do have a spare block i can swap in..I Thougt i took at pic but you could see the belt in between...
Wow bro I actually just encountered this 2mins ago while looking for a fuel rail spacer that just vanished into thin air while I was installing my injectors. I noticed the shreaded belt. Will there be any issue running the car with out the belt ?
"bought a used GSX. could it have a bad tune?"
I was unaware you could buy these cars new.More info is needed. Fill out your mods list. So we can help you. You keep asking if it has a bad tune. Does the car have any source of Engine management or monitoring as in O2 Wideband boost gauge ect...
I agree go FP cast and DIY port it . Or Have someone reweld and brace the knock off that you have now. I wouldnt spend money on another copy. Just my .02 plus those welds on the CX look terrible.
well atleast you have the option to fix and repair. If usps doesnt come threw im out 700$ and have to start from scratch. They lost my upgrade from ecmlink and my SD package :banghead:
It could for some odd reason be running real lean. My old 2g gsx ran real lean after 2 races back to back my manifold was glowing red hot. Did you check for boost & exhaust leaks after the install. Paint chipping could be due to poor prep work. No offence this happen to my honda when i painted...
Would love to see the damage, Had this happen to me with my 1st gsx a while back replaced the trans with a matching tcase and never got a chance to tare my old one apart.
THIS lol and add clutch fluid , but forsure use an OEM TOB if you do end up having to go this route. I just installed a stage 2 comp clutch and used there TOB and its terribly loud i will be dropping the trans soon to replace it. :ohdamn:
Cried and hugged the talon ;( my V2 to V3 ecmlink upgrade got lost in the mail. :( and its the weekend so i have not been able to reach ECMLINK or USPS ;(
I just saw your other thread a few minutes ago. You were still having issues with dialing in your idle . Im sure this is all related. You had said it was backfiring if you didnt manually give it gas and idle it high. I would get the idle/injector issue fixed. Running rich will explain the gas smell
