Thank you. Me too :)So apparently I forgot how crappy this harness is. It seems like none of the connections are solid and I've found several wires that have come out of the pins. I really didn't want to deal with all of this
Thank you guys and I actually did not know that they are different ratios. But what I actually meant is that I plan to depower the current rack, I phrased that wrong. I am just going to loop the lines for the time being.
Screw PS lol changed my mind and pulled it all out at right before I went to bed(pic was taken about 5 mins before that)
Planning to get it all running and work out some of the kinks and then convert it to a manual rack.
The last of the stuff I was waiting on
Hopefully will have the clutch/flywheel installed, transmission bolted on and reinstall the power steering lines and pump back in the engine bay.
Shoot I wish I would have kept track better. I would say if you are doing everything plan on 1-1.5 cans per coat. It really depends on how perfect you want it. We put down a lot of paint so we could sand it out. It really is an excellent product, I've been truly impressed. Good Luck!
Hi I couldn't post this anywhere else yet.I took my head to a machinist a long time ago and I think I remember there being 3 studs for thermostat housing. They may have been bolts but either way they are missing. Could anyone tell me the size of the bolt or stud that I need there?
And is there...
I then took the opportunity to remove the old rattle can paint from the engine bay that had finger prints and wrinkles in the paint. It was a mess. Not having a booth available nor a compressor large enough to spray paint with a gun. I discovered Eastwoods 2 part catalyzed rattle can paint...
Meanwhile through the different machine shops and build process I got to work with some other stuff.Durring the tear down we did find a small amount of metal in the oil and decided to send the FP3065 back to Forced Performance to have the center section rebuilt.Picked up some FIC 2150cc...
My mindset at this point was to pull it apart fix only what needed to be fixed and then get it back together so we could get on with 1850cc injectors, e85 and 36lbs of boost. Oh yeah!Well, words of advice, if you reside in or around St. Louis MO and have a 4cyl find a machine shop that...
The car had a mild built engine with shepherd stage 4 and a fp3065. I couldn't have been more happy even though it didn't seem quite right. We spent a ton of time boost leak testing and replacing gaskets and seals. Short time later came ecmtuning v3 with a map sensor, a cheap catch can and a FIC...
This car was purchased in January 2014 from being sold on dsmtuners. My friends and I drove from St. Louis to Orlando to pic up the car and then back to StL with no stops for sleeping.Screen shot of the original adNot exciting to anyone else but I think I'll be glad I have these pics down...
We add one of these inline coming off the head on my bb turbo. May not be necessary for a 16g.http://www.streettunedmotorsports.com/parts/earls_inline_oil_filter_at230204erl_black.htm
Yeah that is a little frustrating. I also found the oil pan bolt had a hardened silicone tip on it that was dragging the timing belt. Honestly I'm just glad it is in my garage now. Waiting on a couple more boxes to get here then ill be throwing it in the car.Btw not trying to make this a...
Hi, I'm hoping someone can clear this up for me and I am assuming the seller has catalogued the part wrong. Is there really a difference between the 95-97 and the 98-99 fuel tank? I have a 99' gsx that I would like a fresh replacement for...
Thanks! And yes the goal is to have it ready for spring.Believe me I get it! Lol. It's been a long process and we went through two crappy machine shops to begin with until we ended up with Matt at KC Engines in Kansas City. The head was with another builder who was dragging his feet and held...
Just wanted to share my excitement.
We are on our way making the the 8hr round trip to pick up my engine that I've had being built for almost 2 years. The project has changed directions a couple times and so I can't point fingers at the builder for how long it has taken. At this point I am just...
Digging this up from the past, finally an update on this.Like standard procedure in every build I believe, everything got more expensive and has taken way longer than expected. But, having got burned by the first machine shop we now believe both the block and head are in great hands and we...
Thanks sleeper, I hadn't even thought about sd reading an accurate map. That's great I was really unsure about what I was going to do about that.I have read so much about how much the stock crank can handle I hadn't considered an aftermarket crank. That adds quite a bit of cost to the rebuild...
I got my 2gb GSX back in January and found just about bolt on the car was loose, boost leaks and exhaust leaks everywhere, vented valve cover and a terrible tune. We spent the past few months converting to link v3 and halfway to sd, sealed up all the leaks, went through the whole tune setup...
I've read the ecmtuner wiki on installing new sensors I've read some post on here but I still am so lost trying to figure out how to log the aem wideband through the ecmlink. The car came from a warm climate on and it's tuned for warm weather and I believe I'm running lean at wot, lowest I've...
Thanks it feels good, I'm loving having a project. The mods list is pretty extensive. This is probably the best way to explain the mods till he pulls this post 99 GSX 6bolt Fp3065 - DSM ClassifiedsThe BOV is not recirculating which in slow maneuvering situations becomes a problem as when the...
