My 1998 gs hardtop has a 120 amp bussman fusible link in the fuse box under the hood on the left front fender. It was $3.99 at autozone and had two different sized hex bolts. One 8mm and one 10mm. It is charging like a charm now.Oooooo, if your cover is OEM it still says alternator on it too...
The idle seems higher than 1000 rpm, at least from my couch. Leak after MAF would make the mot sense.
I would ohm out the sensor. Put your testers to 10000 then see if your reading is okay. If it gives you infinity resistance then you know your sensor crapped the bed.

Seeing Wiseco website I think you can get the information there as far as ring gap clearance. That being said you gotta discuss with your machine shop. When you decide on your setup, hardware included, show them the prescribed tolerances.

I call it the magic. That stuff does not leak. I have an oldish Harley and use it on my gaskets, ### Harleys do leak if not just by reputation, I use it on my drain plugs that don't have orings and they never leak. Magic!
