  1. tool brand

I've been a mechanic by trade for over 20yrs now. Snap on for any tool I need to use often or need to rely on. A torque wrench definitely fits that description. You need to have confidence that it is correct everytime you use it. If you need a tool that is used seldomly and not that important...
  2. Slight Grinding going into 2nd and 3rd gear.

Yeah, sounds like a clutch ajustment or hydralic problem. Bleed the system and have someone adjust the pedal height/engagement point properly if you don't know how. If thats not it then you have mechanical problem that will require pulling the trans back out to inspect the dow pins, clutch...
  3. I would like some input on first mod.

I wouldn't bother installing a wideband on a stock exhaust system unless you intend to keep it for a while. I would get a 3" dp to install the bung in at least, really a full 3" exhaust would make the most sense. Unless you don't mind doing it twice (welding a bung on the exhaust system that...
  4. Leak near OFH?

Just make sure the oil cooler isnt loose! Take the oil filter off and make sure the screw on part is tight keeping the oil cooler on. I have seen them come loose quite a few times and you can lose all your oil real fast. There is an orange oring between the cooler and housing that will leak as well.
  5. Need confirmation I screwed up my O2 Sensor

Front o2 needs replacement. Rear one is probably fine.
  6. do I need an alternator?

Yeah, borrow or buy a cheap multimeter and test voltage at the bat while at idle. If its under 13 volts then you most likely need an alternator. Check the main fuses as suggested and make sure the belt and crank pulley are ok. Also make sure the bat terminals and grounds are good. Good luck!
  7. Car stutters when the throttle gets mashed

What is the boost set at. Anything over 17lbs on the stock ecu may hit fuel cut without tuning.
  8. 2G Strut tower rust [Merged]

Patching it will be easier and cheaper but temporary. A used one will be just as old as yours and likely to rust soon if not already. A new one from mitsu is permanent if installed properly but expensive and time consuming. We replaced one on the pass side of a gst at my shop and there was a lot...
  9. Car stutters when the throttle gets mashed

Start with the basics, check spark plugs, wires, coils, injectors, compression, and for boost leaks. All of these things can cause as least some of the symptoms you mentioned. Good luck! We can help more with more info on what the condition of the tune up parts, etc. are.
  10. 90 plymouth 4g63t engine into 2g dsm

Cam sensor will be a different setup, crank sensor signal is wired to the older cam sensor, 90 I believe also has an external oil cooler. It is not totally straight forward but you can use it (the 90 engine). Read the above mentioned link and study up before attempting it for sure!! Good luck!!
  11. Freak accident, Need help fast!

Sure sounds like a blown headgasket between two cylinders to me. +1 on compression and leakdown tests.
