    Rice? Race? Or Both?

I personally like clean, factory looking cars with power. That's not to say I don't like small cosmetic enhancements, but for the most part I'd rather spend my own money under the hood. How someone else spends their money is NONE of my business, however. The only thing I truly care about is...

After certain RPM, car loses most of its horsepower

Sounds like you jacked up some synchros trying to force it into gear, at least that's my bet on the grind. As far as losing power, you said you smelled burning clutch. When the power drops out, do the RPM's jump, or other signs of a slipping clutch?

    Motor flexing

Looks like the roll stops are the same for MT and AT?http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/automatic-tranny/430377-auto-motor-mount-inserts-help.html#post152915062

Few problems with my newest Dsm. Need advice.

I'm with Dsmkauai on the PM list, it sounds like the car has some issues that need ironed out.I don't hear the BOV on wastegate pressure either, I can sort of hear it if I'm near a building wall and releasing 16 psi. As long as it's operating properly and holding boost, I wouldn't worry about...

I work out in south Arlington, so I'm around about 6 days a week.

    326whp & 312wtq with minor mods

I would honestly be more concerned about the fuel cut than anything at this point. That should probably be sorted before you even worry about strapping down to another dyno.

    Clutch and other part feedback

I would just go ahead and pull the engine/trans out of the car, especially if you intend to do a balance shaft elimination. Everything you're going to do will be a hundred times easier this way. I say this because I've done almost all of that with the engine still in the car, and I'll never do...

    GSC balance shaft eliminator help

I would think blocking it completely would raise the oil pressure some.I know you'll have problems if you use a stubby shaft for the rear that doesn't have an oil journal in it. The OEM stubby shaft has an oil journal in it, but some aftermarket ones do not.

I'm in Fort Worth myself. In 3 years I haven't run into another DSM'er.

Transporting a vechicle bought from a private seller?

I personally wouldn't risk it on the advice of people on a forum (no offense). Many of us live in different states with different laws, I assume most of us aren't lawyers or cops, and we aren't on the hook if you DO get pulled over.Best bet is probably to rent the dolly or a trailer, and if...

    Failed inspection...

Hammers, sockets, and pickle forks work if you aren't reusing the ball joint.I highly recommend one of these: 3/4" Forged Ball Point Joint SeparatorIt's a lot easier to pop them out, and it's handy to have around for later when you need to separate joints that you don't want to replace. I...

92 Tsi talon all stock mod list suggestions

I know it's been said, but MAINTENANCE. I'll say it again. MAINTENANCE.I know the car only has 60k miles on it, but it's still 20+ years old. If you haven't done it already, give each system a thorough inspection. Change all the fluids and wear parts, if anything is out of spec replace or...

    Finally registered.

Thought I'd register, since this site has answered many questions for me over the years. I'm not new to DSM's, I've owned them and wrenched on them on and off since around 2002.I've had a 99 GS that I drove forever, lightly modded. I still miss it. A few years after I bought that I picked...

1G 1G ACT Clutch will not disengage, tried everything!

I dealt with a very similar problem recently. The clutch was bad on the car when I bought it because the transmission was held on by only the top two bolts. I ended up replacing the flywheel/pressure plate/disc with OEM replacements. I replaced or rebuilt every component in the hydraulic...
