Actually I have a 1g dsm, I don't have an EVO, Im trying to find out if the bracket adapter that allows Evo 8/9 Brembos to go on 1g's will also fit Evo X Brembos on those same brackets

Those are good questions but see if you can have someone look at your shift linkage under the hood looking down under the intake while your trying to engage the gear, see if they see anything getting hung up or something - do it while its idling and when its off

Yeah lots to chew over, thanks for the advice guys...I don't think the turbo was leaking, I had no smoke under boost, only at start up and parking lot driving, which tells me valve stem as well.I have to look at the back of the turbo as suggested, I will take the head off this Saturday...
