Little back story. I received this car as a shell and a bunch of boxes. Had the motor built and just finished getting her together. I fired it up for the first time and it idle like crap. This is my first time building a dsm and tuning. I have the base fuel pressure set to 38-39. I did it with...
Just fix or get a stock fuel rail. They are a dime a dozen and flow fine unless you are making serious power. If looks are a concern have it powder coated. Put the money for a fancy rail to use somewhere else. :thumb:
I definitely need to improve on my soldering skills. Ill do some more reading on soldering before I attempt the harness. Ill just spend a couple hours soldering random stuff in my garage.
I hope your route doesn't take you 10 the entire way to the east coast if you're heading south first. Be prepared for the most boring interstate in the country through Texas and the entire Florida panhandle. Good luck!
Thank you. Im solder and wiring impaired thats why i was looking for a premade one but since i have all the parts i will definitely do this if i havent found one in a week or so.
I have been searching for a conversion harness to run a 2g MAF and cant find one anywhere. Does anyone still make these. I messaged the guy that used to make them on the galant forums and nothing. I really dont want to cut into my harness and splice one in. Im just weird like that i guess. I...
Thats a great question. Id like to know the answer to this as well. I know that RTM claims that their dual pumper unit can me run on a single pump so you don't have to buy another sending unit when you need more fuel so its a good possibility.
I am in the same boat. Just ordered my LINK yesterday and have never tuned a car in my life. Plan on many hours of research on the forums if you go the same route but should be well worth it in the end. If not you can always remote tune.
Plugs are only $10 for a set so id just replace them. Especially if you say they have been in your car for a while. For $10 you wont need to worry anymore. Just dont over tighten.
I acquired a 1g GSX that had already been pulled apart. I am in the process of putting it back together and have three parts that I am unsure of. Like I said I didn't pull this car apart so it's challenging to say the least. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have labeled the parts 1,2,3...
Im gonna have to say Bogus probably hit the mark. If your overflow tank blew it sounds like the coolant system was boosted. Good luck with whatever it turns out to be.
