I wouldn't attribute the car dying to the turbo, so don't stress about that, which can be costly. Think more along the lines of a fuel pump, electrical wiring.. anything fuel related.
I'm definitely thinking a tune will fix your problem. I see other people have suggested gaping your spark plugs a bit more, that is a good route to follow. Since this only occurs at idle then a proper idle tune should do the tricl, especially if you've bolted anything on recently.
It seems as though you're pretty much stock, so you probably find the OEM replacements somewhere if you want to stay low on cost. I apologize in advance if this is redundant but, check hoses, clamps.. etc.
