Well you’ve gotten the opinions and a list lol, now it’s on YOU, you know the saying “ a cars only as reliable as its owner” top shelf parts will still fail upon improper assembly, machine work aside your cars reliability is up to you :thumb:
For 350whp I would just do a stock block refresh. New rings, bearings and maybe some arp rod bolts, that’s what I did a few years back for my fp red set up.
Thanks guys. I don’t have any serious drag racing ambitions with the car, just looking for a modestly upgraded drivetrain to match the power output. I like the idea of going with the magnus route first, then further upgrades later. My driveshaft needs rebuilt and I don’t want a rebuilt stock...
Hey guys I’m looking to upgrade my Tcase/driveshaft this year to a 300m output and I’m debating between the addition of a magnus side cover or a Frontline Fab brace, I’d love to do the brace but there’s not much room between the Tcase and the down pipe/exhaust, are any of you guys running the...
So adjust the clutch! I’d say verify no leaks between master/slave and start over with adjustment, If it’s dragging at 6000rpms either you’ve got a leak somewhere or your pedal assembly is f%ck!d.
That’s awesome. Beautiful car❤️. I have the same intake/cams, and it looks like an s90:), at the 2.5” intercooler piping guess I was only referencing similar looking parts on my car but mine will never be that fast lol, I don’t want a full blown race car, but I love watching full blown race car...
What I gathered from the Talon in the video is it looked like he was still on 2.5” intercooler piping which was cool, and a buscher style COP with an arc2 so maybe he’s still on ecmlink? Also with the ratchet shifter he obviously had no tcu so I figured it was a swap, but I didn’t know their...
This is very sad. He’s one of my FAVORITE YouTube subscriptions and such a wealth of knowledge. I know this sounds cliche but life is seriously precious. Enjoy each day because none of us are guaranteed tomorrow..
We had a 2015 Edge eco boost my wife misses to this day, while we’re currently off the topic of Anfurneyy’s SLOW dsm, I’ll say the only reason we traded it in was from the Ford flex plate issue:barf:
Hey guys! Arc2 install is done, I think the install went great, I owe Marty one for sure :thumb: Also went ahead and pulled my injectors to be cleaned/flow tested, then I’m just waiting on a new lower control arm to replace the one that wouldn’t fit and then the front end will be buttoned up...
Hey I’ve driven off in my dsm with the strangest sound I couldn’t place, turned back and went home to be safe and then it hit me..the LUG NUTS were lose lol:ohdamn: AND I bent 2 intake valves when torquing the head down on my current motor because pistons 1 and 4 were at top dead center so yeah...
With the after $ale price being about the same as a PPG set up, the only reason one would choose a gearset set like this over a straight cut dog box would be for around town stop light to stop light convenience. The dog box requires a learning curve of rev-matched downshifts, and a pricey...
I can’t get over the spool up on that 67mm, looks like it hits around 5500rpm which is similar to my 6266, that’s pretty impressive, numbers look good too:D what’s the ethanol content in your tank?
Looks like FUN! Hope you get to enjoy her for a bit before you either pull the trans or it fails LOL, I’ll be “targeting 40psi” this spring now that my arc2 is installed. The car looks FAST even in the video, which normally never does it justice, that car looks like a RIPPER!!
Congrats on the auction sale! I’d be a little disappointed too as your car is certainly one that’s in a smaller and smaller percentage of clean and well cared for dsm’s. Hopefully it goes to a good home :)
That’s the BEST LOL. I’ll never forget running into a duramax that wanted to play, we went from a 40 roll and a dig and I smoked him both times LOL, that was years ago on a good ole evo 3 16g/e85 stock motor set up LOL. After the dig run he was like “that things f***in quick man” he asked what I...
I know man I couldn’t resist lol. I think the entire forum is rooting for you on figuring this issue out and getting her on the road :rocks: :thumb: :)
I’m holding out for NEAT :) I’m excited for reviews hopefully by the end of this year with results, hoping my Jacks holds out till then lol, 1100 miles so far so good, but I’ve never launched the car once. It’s not a race car, drag racing breaks $h!t lol
That’s right! We went to Custer a couple years ago during the sturgis rally, saw Mt Rushmore, Rushmore Candy Co lol and Reptile Gardens, It’s a Beautiful part of the country for sure:)
Hey man the car sounds NASTY! Are you on a sealed catch can set up? I haven’t blown a dipstick since switching to a vented set up, like EVER. I don’t understand peoples logic behind sealed over vented for a high power setup. Anyways I hope you get her sorted out! And by the way I made almost the...
So assuming you have a healthy rebuilt pedal assembly, one option for better release is the smaller slave for a NA 3000gt? I might look into that. Even after I rebuilt my assembly last winter, which gave me immediate movement of the master cylinder, my southbend ssx “2700lb” plate was still...
So yesterday I got my old AC fuse box removed, along with re locating the vacuum port/bracket to a comfy spot on the firewall behind the Intake.Today I got the arc2 mounted in its new homeNow the fun part of tearing into this bastard 90 wiring lol, I’ll be following Marty’s posts along with the...
Thanks Vic! I’m actually sticking with my Taylor “thundervolt” wires for now, I’ve heard that a cop setup does work nice in conjunction with an arc2, but maybe in the near future:) Another thing I’m doing this month I forgot to mention is changing the gear oil in the trans and sending out the...
