im refering to the basic 2g upgrade paths on this forum. writing just stage 1 upgrade was mistake. im not familiar with ecu's in general, thats why im here on the newbie thread. I have a goal to tune my dsm to about 300 whp, but there is no point to throw alot of aftermarket parts into the car...

Just wondering. After doing the basic stage 1 upgrade, should or could i just remap the oem ecu, get a new ecu, or isnt it nescessary at all?
