When did this intake come out, and does any one have side by side comparison to the JMF Drag yet? It gives a lot of info relative to the 1g design etc. But falls short when it talks about the 2g design. Also anyone who is running the JMF Drag version at or around 50lbs of boost, do you have any...
Thanks Bud. Sorry I was referring to turbo lab.I got the info from turbo lab. That's what I was told. I do know that I am the first one to run this turbo and they told me to hold out a month and they would send a much improved version over there previous one. So I did.. I believe...
I'm Running a Holset hx40 with a Bep .70ar housing.. Its a hybrid with a billet 67mm compressor wheel and a 65mm turbine. I have been very impressed with this turbo. I didn't even have an hx40 core to send them. I just sent them my Bep housing and for around $650 they sent me back the complete...
The dot. tire is what divides the "street" cars from the "Race" cars 3' of exhaust is 3' of exhaust wheter it comes out underneath out the top or on the side. Just dont want to hack my setup for 1 event..
Well I guess I was hoping you were referring to the people who have exhuasts, exiting through the hood and such. You could essentially run an even shorter exhaust that exits underneath the car. How about we modify this rule. I have seen many other modification to the rules. If your not requiring...
So the QUICK STREET 32, My exhaust comes out from the side of the front bumper still goes underneath the car before it comes out the side. Is this going to be alright, I would really like to run in this class as I think I would be a top contender. My peers in this class still get the final...
Hey thanks for the reply guys. I found some guys with SR20's using them with the AEM ems 4, of course it was right after I posted this. and they were saying something similar. I was bieng told that the truck coils were the better ones out of the two. Also I believe some of the supra guys are...
Has anybody attempted to use the GM, LS truck coils in place of using the AEM smart coils with an AEM EMS 4 setup. From what im reading the GM truck coils are also a "smart coils". Not sure how it would work or if it would work. But the price difference is about $40 a coil and I can find a GM...
I agree the weight limit is fair.. I was just asking so I didnt get any suprises when I got over there. Coming from MI its not exactly just a drive down the road. I want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row so Im not towing a car all the way out there to spectate.
Can we specify full interior? IE heater box, controls, Steering colum cowel ect. Also what about windshield wiper and motor. I guess how anal are they going to be about this? Just trying to get a better idea of what to expect..
^^^^^^ from what I remeber you want to be in the 10.8-11.2 range on 93, correct me If im wrong. But 11.1 would be on the lean side, but still an acceptable range..
I made my drive shaft mount out of some 1/2 inch tublular steel and just made a triangle on either side of the tunnel, works great.. It just takes a little imagination.
I would check all of the CAC piping as everyone else was saying. Disassemble everything and inspect throughly. It could also be your Fuel Pressure regulator if it fails open, the pressure will not back up like its suppose to and you will not get proper fueling. Just a thought. Also I would...
Just keep an eye out on CL. Ive had godd sucess with the tansmissions Ive bought off there. Just remember You usually get what you pay for.. Whernever I have some spare change and thers either a trans or transfer case available I snatch them up. Im going to use it eventually.
Hey, thanks for the wiring info. I im going to check this out tonight to see if I cant figure something out. Yeah Im trying to avoid any kind of grinding.
Thanks all. I thought so but GOOGLE wasnt telling me a whole hell of a lot. I just hope all of that bolts into a sebring. but every lb is woth it as far as I'm concerend. Also I dont want to wire all the crap up if I dont have to.
I really want to get rid of my power windows to save some weight was wondering if any of the 2g's came with manual windows. I would like them before I decide to do all the work to rewire my power windows.
I agree^^^^^ Also I've had the rubber portion of the shifter cable at the transmission tear, causing it not to go into gear. Just somehting else to pay close attention to.
Iv'e used the orange high temp permatex rtv with great sucess on exhasut/turbo manifold flanges ect. No leaks 7 bucks or something like that , give it a try.
Im trying to utalize my 2g alternator, because I do not want to go the saturn 1 wire route since I have a perfectly good alternator already. I know Ive seen somewhere a while ago on how to wire a 2g alternator, so its a stand alone/ 1 wire setup. I belive I just put the excite wire back to the...
you can pretty much throw away everything you shown a picture of besides the 1st picture that was the nox sensor with no wires coming from it. Also your going to need the rectangular silver box with all the wires running from it, in the last picture thats for your injectors.. It looks like a...
If you pull either you turbo or you exhaust manifold and check for oil in the runners before the turbo its an easy and quick way to tell if its the turbo or engine internals. Also whe you do the compression test make sure to remove all spark plugs to get an accurate reading. Just saying...
for the $ the hx35, h1c or wh1c is the way to go hands down and the rebuild kits are only around $40 I had the evo 16g first and it doesnt even compare to the holset. dont waste your $ on 16g...
A failed CV should be more of a clicking or ticking or poping noise, not a grinding. That damn dust sheild can cause a lot of unknown issues. I f your wheel bearing is a little worn it could rub on the dust shield causing a grinding noise. Just my 2 cents.
It works great on the stock manifold with the bullseye housing. I had it on for about a year and loved it. Still using the same turbo but know with a T3 turbine housing on a STM forward facing tubular manifold.
I dont believe you have to remove the center console to install/remove the carpeting. But it probalby would hurt since everything else is alrady going to be removed.
Dont use ebay gaskets to rebuild your engine. I mean top line is bad enough, but at least for the most part there quality. and only use cometic head gaskets no exceptions...
NGK plugs for sure also there is the 7 wire flat sensor located around the egr valve area. I got e 85 on mine once and it did the same thing. I think the 1g are 5 wire. I might be wrong though, its been a while.
Dust shield or perhaps the carrier bearing for the drivers side axle. Ive never heard of that carrier bearing fail though. Where does it sound like the noise is coming from?
